This is the story of Vincent Hansen and Jordan Alvarado. Vincent is a member of Red Stone Security. He is a former Seal. That is how he met Jordan. He had been hurt on his last assignment and he decided to retire and so he was recuperating in San Diego where Jordan went to school. They had become close. She's a orphan with no relatives. She broke up with Vincent and didn't tell him why. So this is the story of how they find each other again and what the story of why she left in the meantime someone is trying to kill her. Read the story and find out the answers to what happened to her and what happens now. This is a good read 👍🏾.

Jordan and Vincent. From previous stories I felt Vincent’s story would be a second chance, but u was not expecting the backstory on why their first chance didn’t work! Jordan is a class a character and woman. I love the range of emotions this story had and the twist of who was after her for retribution. Seeing the couples come together at the end and Vincent’s mom/sisters reaction with Jordan were sweet. Blue is new and I hope we see more of him!

Vincent and Jordan had four amazing months together before she disappeared completely. Even with his contacts, Vincent couldn't find a trace of her. Now, seven years later she has shown up without warning at his place in Miami, tells him she has been in WITSEC and that she recently left the program after the killer she helped put in prison committed suicide. Even with her explanation, Vincent finds it hard to get past his hurt and anger, and his fear that she will leave again. But when attempts on her life begin it becomes clear someone from her past wants her dead. And regardless of their history or any possible future, Vincent knows he will do everything in his power to keep her safe.

This is another great addition to the RSS series and a can't put it down quick read. As with the other books in the series, it is a very good standalone, also, though I would definitely go back and read previous books if I hadn't already done so. Katie Reus has made my auto-buy list for her Red Stone and Serafina Series and I am looking forward to her next books.

Protecting His Witness is book 7 of the Red Stone Security Series by Katie Reus. And its as enjoyable as the others. Filled with lots of suspense, romance and emotions. Action packed and fast paced.

This one centers around Vincent and Jourdan. Vincent was always known as a player and a lady's man, but unbeknownst to all his coworkers, there was one who held his heart once. Seven years before Vincent was in love with Jourdan, and ready to commit to forever, but then Jourdan just left. With no word, no explanation, and no way of contacting or searching for her, Vincent's life was changed.

Now Jourdan's back and Vincent's world has crashed as he struggles to understand why she stayed away so long.

Protecting His Witness was more emotional, I think than some of the others. There is a lot of hurt and guilt, but also very valid reason for her disappearance.

Very well written novel and hard to put down. Very enjoyable and highly recommended.

I really liked this book. However, I do not like it when I get the impression that the hero, is better looking than the heroine, as I did in this book, it just detracts from my enjoyment of the story. But there is an even stronger reason as to why I did not give this book 5 stars. SPOILER ALERT AHEAD!!!!!!!! The hero & and heroine were separated for a long period of time, and during this time the hero had other women, but the heroine never had another man in her life. I hated this imbalance, even when it was the heroine who walked away, for very good and unselfish reasons. Realistic or not these are my personal preferences.

A short and intense installment of the "Red Stone Security" series. The plot was slightly predictable and didn't offer any twist or turn. I would have appreciated more background information on the main characters, which might have added to the depth of the book. The chemistry between Jordan and Vincent was explosive, consequently the sex scenes very hot, which I usually like. However, in this book I thought that there was just too much sex and too little plot elaboration. Maybe a few more pages could have "mended" this problem. In general I thought that the book remained too formulaic and shallow for my taste. I intended to rate it as a 2* but the ending really made up for some of the lacks.

Really liked this book as it told you about Vincent's back story and how his heart was broken by Jordan his true love. It was a beautiful suspenseful love story well written by the author Kate Reus. As a typical novel of hers it is filled with action and hot love. If has everything you could want to keep you on the edge of your seat trying to anticipate what is going to happen to our hero next. All the Red Stone Security books are like this and this is no different. I cannot wait for her next addition to this series.

This is the first book I have read in this series and I have to say I enjoyed it. The suspense is there from the first few pages till the end which makes you want to see what happens next.
I liked the Author's writing style the story is well written and I can say after reading this one I will be checking out the others.
The passion and bond between Vincent and Jordan was there from the 4 months they had together till she disappeared for 7 years. They both moved on with their lives until Jordan could leave her life behind and become her again. I admired her for her strength in going to find Vincent to ask for his forgiveness it takes a lot to do that. And I loved Vincent response when he sees her again and they both realise that the feelings they had for each other are still there.
I really did love the suspense in this book it kept you on edge and the way Vincent wanted to protect Jordan was so sweet even if she didn't want to involve him in danger, he was having none of it. This is a story of a second chance at love and you know when you love the ending because you smile big.
If you love your suspense with some romance and got a couple of hours to spare then I highly recommend this book.
