You watch as the friends Samantha, Eddy, Walt and Jo characters keep evolving. I like the growth of their personalities. This book seemed to have a lot more twists and turns and unexpected evets. Every time I thought I had it figured out another twist. Kept me fully engaged. I am really enjoying this series and the friendships of the characters.

Cindy Bell does it again. Her Sage Gardens mysteries are awesome. In this book Samantha walked into a murder scene at the very beginning of the story. Who did it is the BIG question, there were so many suspects. The story twists and turns and is really very interesting. I will admit that I thought I had it figured out until another twist came into play. I can't wait for another book from the series to come out.

This was not the usual type of cozy mysteries I enjoy because the writing style was geared more for juveniles. Even though the subject matter deals with older adults, the writing lacks depth and is very simple. The characters are one dimensional, and simplistic. I'm glad I was able to borrow this book from Kindle library, and do not plan to sample any further books by this author. I wish her well, perhaps she needs to read books by more established authors to get a better feel of writing. Cozy authors I enjoy: Juliet Blackwell, Heather Blake, Julie Moffett and Lynn Cahoon.

This book hit close to my heart. The fact that it dealt with sibling jealousy made it very interesting to me. Most oeople do not have to deal with the subject matter. The only thing worse than jealousy, or even rivalry, is when parents actually treat their children differently. Parents sometimes have favorites. Another good book by Ms. Bell. I am anxious to get on to the next one.
