- Reviewed in the United States on May 3, 2015Watch the movie "Edge of Tomorrow" with Tom Cruise. It was from a book by Hiroshi Sakurazaka, 2004. Lisa's book came out in 2001. The books had a lot of similarities. I considered this book one of the best science fiction books I have ever read. I never read fantasy novels, but liked the 2 written by her that I came across, and I just got hold of 13 more of her fantasy novels (The Playback War was the only science fiction she wrote). The novels that I read of hers were all well written, and packed full of surprise turns of events. great creativity and imagination at work there.
Don't go and buy the book on my say so, as in, I may have lousy tastes. Read a few pages first to see if you like it.
