- Reviewed in the United States on June 27, 2013I liked the relationship between the main characters a lot. I felt bad about how the hero's brother helped to keep them apart even though he thought he was protecting his brother. He is not a villain, just thought the heroine cheated on his brother and did not think the baby was his nephew. I do like how he owned up to what he did 8 years ago but I think that the hero and heroine took it too lightly. They basically breezed over it when the hero found out. He was mad and the heroine told him she understood why he did it. I do too but man, he kept them apart for 8 years by lying. It is sad and makes me mad. The brother knew that the hero and heroine were sexually active together and he should have thought that it could have been the hero's with a 50% chance even if he thought the heroine cheated. Oh well, it was good and I like how the hero could not keep his hands to himself. He kissed her at different times just because he wanted to. He was mean when he showed her out of the building but it was done so well, that I was thinking the same thing the heroine was, lol. It was very clever how he did that. This is well worth the read!!!
- Reviewed in the United States on September 6, 2016I couldn't put this book down the from beginning to the end was a woman who have many love for a child In spite of the characters of the story.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 1, 2016Third entry in the Hot Blooded Husbands series. This is Rafiq's story & I thought was the best of the series. I recommend you read the first two books in the series to get context. Rafiq & Melanie were lovers years ago when Rafiq was a student in England. She was poor and had no clue Rafiq was really a prince. Parted by a misunderstanding & deception, Rafiq meets Melanie again years later on the same day he learns his longtime mistress has married another man from her dance troupe that Rafiq supports. He is shocked to find Melanie is a widow of a rich man & is there at his bank for financial advice. What she doesn't tell him is that their affair produced a son & heir to his father's kingdom. Rafiq learns just WHO was involved in keeping his son's existence from him. Very good read!
- Reviewed in the United States on May 8, 2014Rafiq loved Melanie and left her after her family set her up. Now eight years later she goes to him to let him know she had his child. He now wants revenge. But not all truths have been told yet. This is the second book of the Al-Qadim brothers and their wives. Both stories go together. I read the first one and had to get this one. Have read many books by Michelle Reid and will look for more by her.
- Reviewed in the United States on July 7, 2018A story I have read more then once. I believe this is the 4th book in the series. This is my favorite.
- Reviewed in the United States on July 18, 2015I know it is not the best Michelle Reid, but it is still very good, especially in comparison to other writers on HQP. The best thing is that we always get the H's POV with few exceptions Michelle Reid writes the best guys in romance. I loved this book even though at points i thought the H was too harsh but honestly the Heroine also lead him to believe that she was what he believed her to be by not defending herself as she should have. Again a lot of misunderstandings because neither of them trust the other enough to confide...but if she didn't write it this way then we won't have a story. I did not believe the bad reviews because with Michelle Reid i like to judge myself, she is just too good of a writer to skip one of her books.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 18, 2015I liked this one, but I did get frustrated with the hero and his passing the blame for everything that went wrong in the relationship. He did redeem himself at the end.

5.0 out of 5 stars perfect
Love this beautifully written love story. Incredible writer. Would not change anything except would be nice to somehow have additional story line of them in distant future, few year’s ahead. Their home base addition to the family

5.0 out of 5 stars Passionate
Very good book by Michelle Reid. Similar to the price of a bride but the heroine had more backbone. Can get upsetting at times but brilliant ending. It's fairly realistic in representation of real life such as Arabic as the hero's mother tongue, mentioning other places in the UK outside of London like cumbria etc. On the whole, plenty of drama and romance.

5.0 out of 5 stars Another brill book
Michelle Reid knows how to write a book, they are so sexy and no bitterness, which would kill love anyway, Michelle's men are totally masculine, but thoughtful too, love all her books, please keep them coming.
