- Reviewed in the United States on July 10, 2012This is the first time I'm actually writing a review. Wow ...this book was very well written. Ms. Reid, this book is indeed a keeper. Love always wins..yeah. I wont go into details about the nitty gritty of the book- just take my word for it. All the romantic people like myself please know that"The Sheikh"s Chosen Wife"is HIGHLY recommended.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 27, 2013Okay, I read Rafiq's story first so going back to this story and hearing him be all smug about going to be with his mistress made me disgusted with him. I literally thought "is this the same man I just read about?"!!! I would not have gone into the other story with an open mind like I did with him and his brother talking about how his mistress does the best "private" dances and how he comes back to the yacht refreshed after spending the night with her. Urghhhhh!!!! Anyways, now on to the main characters of this book. I loved how they were so in love with each other. Neither denied it, the hero did not fight it like so many other heroes do. He owned it and REFUSED to give up on their relationship. I was mad about the contract but I understand that is was just a way to buy more time to get her safe and come up with a way for them to be together. It meant nothing and I totally get that but in her position, I can see how it would hurt her. The hero did and tried everything to get her to stay with him, going as far as to say he would give up his ruling right to be with her even though that is his passion (or second passion to her) in his life. I adored him very much. He dropped bits of information to her when he wanted to and had different things going on at the same time to different people. So I thought it was fantastic that towards the end, he thinks to himself, "I am slowly sinking beneath my own plots and counter-plots". It was just funny to have a hero who knows he is plotting and is flustered by it all. It was a great book and I liked all the characters even if I think Rafiq's mistress and sexual activities being brought up were a bit much seeing that I adored him having read his story first. I do not think of him as the same now, which is a problem for me because I really liked him and Melanie!!!!!
- Reviewed in the United States on October 18, 2014What we have here is a couple who loves each other, but are determined to do the right thing. The h is married to a prince and having trouble conceiving, so she wants to let the H go so he can remarry and have heirs. The H is being pressured for heirs, but wants no other woman and doesn't care about heirs. The book offers the H's POV and you get a front row seat into his feelings and how he plots to move heaven and earth to keep the woman he loves. This one is a keeper........d:)
- Reviewed in the United States on January 26, 2014I generally love Michelle Reid's books but this one with it's never ending angst and machinations behind the scenes made me skip quite a few pages. I only found pleasure in the last five percent, or so, of this unremitting emotional downer!
- Reviewed in the United States on September 21, 2012This book was soooo good. Michelle Reid wrote the words so well that I could feel the heartache, the pain, the passion and the love, they felt for each other. Hassan is so amazingly strong with the pressure he has on his shoulders (what a man). Leona loves Hassan so much and thinks by ending their marriage would be the only way she can help him. The problems are very difficult, but Sheik Hassan will fight for Leona. This is a MUST read!
- Reviewed in the United States on February 15, 2017Leona has been separated from her hunky husband Sheikh Hassan ben KhalifaAl-Qadin for a year. However, forces are plotting agaist their reunion. First of the "Hot Blooded Husbands" series. A VERY good book! The other two are just as good.
- Reviewed in the United States on March 4, 2013Great read from start to finish Leona and her sheik were very passionate and in love...he put the Alpha in Alpha male!!!!!!!!!! What more can I say you won't regret reading this novel! One of Reids better efforts.
