Art is flowery, some of the scenes are steamy (without being too naughty). There is tension, there is a little surprise (if you don't totally predict everything from the outset).

It is a good little read. Don't expect amazing story-telling. The plot is a bit predictable, but still an enjoyable read.

When I started reading this book I almost put it down to look at later because for me it started out really slow. But I stayed with it and I sure am glad I did. It really went in depth with the main characters and I found myself actually laughing in the later parts when that were finally realized what they meant to each other. Rocco was a most devine character and it took him time to come to terms with what "love" really felt like. I felt as if I was in the same room with them when they argued, it was all so intense and sad at times too. I really enjoyed this book but then anything by Sarah Morgan will be good. That's why it has 5 stars in my opinion. A very good read.

Chessie married Rocco under command from her father. She went from one prison to another. But she left him on their wedding day. But now she is back and he has her where he wants her. But with all the stuff her father did to her and her mother will she ever let another man inside her closed off heart? Does he have the patience to give her or will he run over her feelings like they mean nothing to her? The angst here was well felt. Sarah Morgan is another of my favorite authors and not only thru HP.

I wasn't sure I was enjoying this book for awhile. The hero was a touch domineering until he began to understand his brides life.
Once that became a pat of their story it gained momentum.
My problem is the ending, I felt it lacked closure. An epilogue filled with the hero's behavior at delivery and the wonder at his child and his feelings at holding her. Would have put this story over the top.
Without that closure it doesnt make me see a happily ever after story, it leaves you wondering if they have a happily ever after. Since this is not my first read if thus author, its a point that keeps cropping up. So, she almost pulls it off, but left a doubt.

If you like reading about male chauvinists, then this is for you, this was an arranged marriage and at the wedding reception he is kissing another woman! The bride quite sensibly legs it. after some months have past her Father dies and she returns only to be caught by her bridegroom accusing her of adultery. he leaves her at his home all alone while off clubbing it. She sees him pictured with another woman, so decides to get dressed up and confront him at the night club where this other woman is hanging all over him he hustles her out because wives dont have fun or go out another sort of woman does that, okay so he comes round by the end of the book but for me would it not be too late by then.
