So for the guy out there that is probably new to the business scene this is a must have. The book is conservative, goes into detail well enough, explaining color, coordination and occasion. It covers it all from penny loafers to 7 jeans, hounds-tooth suits to wrist watches. What is appropriate to wear to what event, time orf year etc. Also includes skin tone, body type, even power colors. I have found this to be a very interesting read. I am a fairly common guy. Not into fashion at all, this book gives the run down, on tasteful clothing to impress, and gain confidence while leaving it open for my choice. No "rubber stamp" outfits. Even explains how to polish shoes and tie ties with various knots. This is an absolute steal at $12. AskMen.Com got it right. No fluff right to the point. I hate to ramble but trying to give this book justice. You'll be impressed I don't care who you are.

This is an excellent book for any man (it's a compilation of articles written on the askmen website). Just be sure to keep a search engine open when you're reading it to look up any pictures and new vocabulary (the book lacks a lot of good pictures). The advice isn't perfect, and the book could have been better written, but I'm glad I bought this book anyway!

I'm planning to buy this for my brother! I do wish I could change my rating to 3 stars though. I credit this book for starting me out on the right path.

I bought this book for a friend and after skiming through it I am going to order another copy for myself. There are several books like this on the market and there isn't really a need for more than one. This book covers everything from Tieing a tie to which colors match your skin tone to the cut of your pants and shirts. Its more than worth the money it costs.

From the packaging to the end of the last chapter, everything is perfect with this product.

I was never a fashionable person. I had no interest in matching clothes and trousers together, matching shoes to the dress, etc. In fact, I was not planning on buying the book in the first place. I pressed the Buy with a single click button hoping that I will firstly be presented with a page with total charges, instead ended up paying for the whole amount at once.

All my worries vanished as I started reading the book itself, because it taught me so many things I never ever thought of. Now when I look at my existing wardrobe, I feel like I'm in the time where dinosaurs existed.

Overall, I believe this is a great book every Man should have. Well done AskMen.com!

I read this book cover to cover in order to fill in some gaps in my knowledge. Like any book that presumes to give rules for something so protean as fashion, there are plenty of opinions masquerading as fact. Much of the advice seems to assume an income flow beyond the reach of most young men who will need a book like this (or perhaps my own priorities are too heavily on investing and paying down student loans).

Good: This is a great start for getting some basics and providing some guidance in building a wardrobe.

Bad: The chapter on tie knots was nearly useless for me. The instructions were not clear enough, but that's why they made youtube. Much of the advice is very shallow. I had been hoping for some more specific guidance on matching.

The book is written more for the times that you need to dress up, but there is still a lot of good advice in here that can be used for any occasion. The tips found in this book are great, but some of them still have to be taken with a grain of salt. It even mentions in the beginning that everything is based on your type, so the book is more of a set of guidelines than rules. Though at the same time, you shouldn't look for reasons to break the advice that is given. I highly recommend this to anyone who is looking to step up their game in the world of fashion.

This book is good for the beginner. If you are a type that own a clothes purchased by your mom or teenager that wants to have more mature appearance, this book is for you. The book is mostly the copy of articles on Askmen.com. it features from basic of how to dress and LOTS of detail. this book however lacks of pictures and description in some sections. Most of the time I needed to look it up online to see what words mean but that's not a problem. The problem is there aren't enough pictures and it gets so frustrated to have to imagine everything by yourself.

Pro: Very Good for BEGINNER but not so much details. A good start to be your first fashion guide book.

Cons: Not many pictures, picture is graphically drawn and poorly display the details

Verdict: Good but not the best.
