About the author

Dear Readers,
I've just rereleased an old Zebra Regency Christmas novella. Those of you who may have read it eons ago (chuckling here)will remember the older title: A Gift of the Heart. I've given it a new title, The Christmas Gift, and a new cover. The woman on my cover with red hair and grey eyes actually looks like the heroine in the story!
I love writing historicals and alpha heros. This particular story is about a reunion between two strong people who missed love at their first meeting, but find a second chance. Everyone needs a second chance.
I plan on re-issuing all of my Zebra Books Regencies and the three books and one novella I did as Amber Kaye. Please be on the lookout.
Amada Quick gave me a wonderful quote many years ago and I feel it sums up better than I ever could my writing and my characters. I hope you agree.
"Caution: Devon delivers romance that is definitely not for the faint of heart. She writes for those of us who like hot-blooded tales brimming with passion and danger."

- Reviewed in the United States on April 14, 2015This book was ok. A little predictable and so couldn't retain my interest completely and I found myself skimming occasionally but still not too bad.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 1, 2013Sound plotting drives this satisfying story set against the backdrop of Napoleonic war. The heroine's motivations and characterization is believable and compelling. The sexual play is sophisticated yet just erotic enough. An entertaining blend - well-done!
