Most of her books are set in Montana, a place she loves. She lives now in a unique part of the state with her husband and two Springer Spaniels.

When she isn't writing, she loves to boat, quilt and spend time with family. There is nothing she enjoys more than curling up with a good book.

    Even though this is the first of a series, it really continues on from the Whitehorse series. There are several characters from there that make appearances. I just loved to read this as Maddie finally gets her HEA. It was several books ago that had her engaged to Bo. He was mean and violent. Shane was wonderful.

    This story just like all of Ms. Daniels' stories is filled with mystery and intrigue. It will capture your attention and keep you reading until it is over. Even though this story can be a stand-alone, I really would recommend starting at the beginning with The Secrets of Deadman's Coulee. You won't regret it as the characters reappear in all the books.

    SHOTGUN BRIDE was another exciting adventure in the small picturesque town of Whitehorse. Although it's officially the first of five books about the Corbett brothers, this series is a spinoff of the original "Whitehorse Montana" series and contains many of the characters from those books, even our heroine. For that reason, as well as some plot devices that have rolled over from the original series, I'd highly recommend starting with those stories first...

    Like his brothers, Shane Corbett is sexy as sin and as wild as the Texas plains they all hail from. He has no plans to settle down just because of some stupid marriage pact his father has concocted, especially with some unknown Montana cowgirl. At least that's what this Texas Ranger keeps telling himself. But then he meets his youngest brother's newest girlfriend... And when Maddie Cavanaugh is kidnapped and drawn into a world of danger, Shane jumps in his truck and rides to her rescue. And while he's sure he can handle any of the thugs who come his way, he's not so sure he can resist Maddie herself. Will this stubborn Texas lawman surrender his single status and career for a possible future with Maddie, or will he break her heart by walking away?

    I really enjoyed this book which was fast paced, full of action, and simply a lot of fun to read. There's not much in the way of romance though, and what little there is doesn't even come into play until the last 10%. But even so, I thought Maddie and Shane made a cute couple and that they were truly meant for each other. The love scene (which is short and not detailed) seemed to come out of the blue though and had me rolling my eyes a little to he honest. Overall I have to admit that it was very entertaining though, with some shocking revelations and surprising turn of events. And if you're like me and have read all the previous books in this series, lots of familiar faces too. Overall I just really liked it and am looking forward to reading Jud's story next!

    I just love the suspense of all of B.J Daniel's books. She really knows how to keep you turning the pages. I read most of her books during my vacation. I was reading two to three books a day. I could not get enough. I started with her most recent trilogy books, (2013) now I am at the beginning. (2004). I just hope by the time I am finished with them that she has a new group of books out. I also like that is more about the story line then the sex. The way she throws in the love making part is really great. These little towns sure has a lot of secrets and action.

    This is the first story of the corbett brother's series. A great story, and lots to keep you reading this book that makes you want to read it all through without putting it down.It was nice to meet up with characters you had read of before in the whitehorse montana series. I was so looking forward to this book, and I was not disappointed. Now I cannot wait for the next story.
    I am a big fan of b.j. daniels, and she has not let me down yet.
