About the Author

Abby Green spent her teens reading Mills & Boon romances. She then spent many years working in the Film and TV industry as an Assistant Director. One day while standing outside an actor's trailer in the rain, she thought: there has to be more than this. So she sent off a partial to Harlequin Mills & Boon. After many rewrites, they accepted her first book and an author was born. She lives in Dublin, Ireland and you can find out more here: www.abby-green.com

Abby Green has been hooked on romantic stories ever since she was a little thing, lying in bed, making her aunt tell her (over and over again) about a Prince and a scary forest and the Princess he was rescuing.

Thankfully (for her aunt), she learned to read and discovered the wonderful worlds of authors like Judy Blume, Jackie Collins, Jilly Cooper and Barbara Taylor Bradford to mention but a tiny few, as well as the great lexicon of Harlequin Mills and Boon romances.

A career in Film and TV as a 2nd Assistant Director was thrilling and exciting for many years, but Abby always had that other side of her that wanted to write and make up stories about Princesses rescuing Princes from scary forests – because we all know that’s how it really pans out, right?

After submitting to Mills and Boon in London and receiving a rejection letter, albeit with notes, she stuck her foot firmly in the door so it wouldn’t close, and about a year later, an author was born.

She was nominated in 2011 for the prestigious RITA© Award for her book 'Breaking The Sheikh's Rules.'

She lives in Dublin, Ireland and you can find out more about her and her books here: www.abby-green.com

THIS WAS ANOTHER OF ABBY GREEN'S BOOKS I COULDN'T PUT DOWN. SHE IS SUCH A VIVID WRITER, I CAN READ HER STORIES AS IF I AM IN THE SAME PLACE WHERE THE CHARACTERS ARE. THIS STORY REVOLVES AROUND ANOTHER "BEAUTIFUL" MALE BILLIONAIRE WHO FALLS IN LOVE WITH A WOMAN HE DOESN'T KNOW BUT WANTS TO. THEIR STORY IS COMPELLING BECAUSE THE FEMALE HAS "TRUST" ISSUES FROM A BAD MARRIAGE AND FROM A FAMILY WHERE EVERYONE HAS A HAPPY MARRIAGE AND SHE DOEN'T WANT TO LET THEM DOWN BY DIVORCING HER CHEATING AND CRUEL HUSBAND. I KNOW THAT'S NOT REALLY A GOOD REASON IN THESE TIMES TO PLACATE YOUR FAMILY IN RETURN FOR YOUR OWN HAPPINESS BUT SHE CAN'T HELP HERSELF WHEN SHE MEETS PASCAL THE BILLIONAIRE. ABBY GREEN WRITES LOVE SCENES SO GRAPHICALLY AND REAL IT'S ALMOST A TURN ON TO READ. IF YOU WANT TO READ A REAL LOVE STORY ABOUT TWO PEOPLE WITH PROBLEMS THEN THIS IS FOR YOU. ALSO, I MIGHT ADD, ANY ABBY GREEN BOOK IS A PLEASURE TO READ. I HAVE THEM ALL.

Like most pop-culture, I think romances can be separated into quality categories this way: 70% are crap, 20% are good, 9.x% are very good, and .x% are sublimely, unspeakably genius. The percentages are approximations, of course, and like I said, my theory is most pop-culture falls into these ranges: romances, mysteries, movies, magazine articles, various genres of music, video games, t.v. shows, etc. I've never put a series romance in the genius category (I have put some long-form romances there), but this one, I think, straddles the good/very good line, often falling all the way over into very good. I really enjoyed this story.

Abby Green writes great chemistry, and she wrote the characters in such a way that their behavior made sense (or as much sense as two people poleaxed by such immediate chemistry and strong emotion can make.) Both are increasingly uncomfortable and confused by their strengthening attachment, but this is one of those rare series romances where the heroine is actually more emotionally reticent than the hero. And their backstories are written in such a way that it makes sense. I didn't spend much time thinking, "you idiots!" (Just a couple of times. :-) )

HARLEQUIN PRESENTS are a fast read, but I swear I felt like I had taken a long journey with the two leads when I was finished. A long, emotional, satisfying-at-the-end journey.

THE FRENCH TYCOON'S PREGNANT MISTRESS is the first Abby Green book I've read, but it won't be the last.

What a beautiful story it had it all. I could feel the love that lay under it all on each page it held my interest from page one. But then you can never go wrong with anything written by Abby Green.

As stated above, this is typical for this author. Lots and lots of thoughts by each character. I like that she does go into both main characters but it's just too much.

Here the Heroine was so hurt from her first marriage that she carried emotional baggage into her new relationship. While she loved the guy Pascal, she was too insecure, hurt and prideful to admit that love and chose to make him out to be the exact same guy as her louse of a husband was, even though all evidence of Pascal, the hero's behavior showed he was nothing like her dead womanizing gambling husband. I mean... come on really? Instead of believing in the hero's actions, the heroine, chose instead to stick to the belief that Pascal, would one day turn into a womanizing cheating gambling fool like her husband, whom she played the doormat too and stuck with him. I tell you, these weak willed lily livered insecure low self esteem having heroines just make my stomach turn.

My first Abby Green book, but won't be my last. Her style of writing is fast with a wit that kept me both smiling and turning the pages constantly to see what happens next.
Green also has an extremely descriptive voice, that quickly made the characters come to full colourful life for me.
A great read that won't disappoint.

4.0 out of 5 stars A sizzling and enthralling love story.

The vulnerabilities and complex personalities of the main protagonists created depth which made the storyline interesting and gripping. The unpredictable twist and turns added suspense and high emotional intensity so that you wanted to know how they would attain their positive outcome. A pleasurable and uplifting reading experience.
