- Reviewed in the United States on November 20, 2013This book was okay but it needs a lot of work. They barely spent time together where the truth was known. The 1st 40 pages is him believing that they have a connection, the next 50 pages is him believing the worst about her, the next 80 pages is him trying to get her to confess by asking all these questions about her marriage and him doing heavy flirting and paying a lot of attention to his ex-fiance. The final 10-20 pages is him finally telling her. I would have been SO mad because he called him a lot of mean thing when he thought she was married and then he paid his ex-fiance a lot of special attention after he figured it out but he wanted the heroine to tell on herself so he thought to make her jealous. He did a great job of that but he never apologized enough for me. He had laid it all on thick and the whole book was more like an interrogation instead of a budding romance. It was good for a quick read when you have nothing else to do but I would not read this again.

4.0 out of 5 stars Guilty pleasure
This book is a guilty pleasure of mine - it has a little heartbreak, a little intrigue, a little bit of mistaken identity; all without being too long or too intense... which is great when I’m coming off a more lengthy book and need a ‘palate cleanser’.
Overall it’s sweet, if a little formulaic, but the characters are fairly well fleshed out and the writing itself is good. Worth a read.

2.0 out of 5 stars stupid
Unnecessary secrets, bad communication, insta-love, married after 3 days, spiteful hero, doormat heroine, workplace sexual harassment, no doesn't mean no? Basically the woman feels a connection to the guy so no matter how awful he is to her, she thinks she deserves it and still loves him. The best I can say about this is that it didn't have a rape scene and he didn't actually beat her.
