- Reviewed in the United States on August 25, 2008Wife and I got this as a gift for a friend / expecting mother, but admittedly as new parents ourselves, we flipped through it first too. Some of the quips were almost sad and scary, but overall, we laughed our heads off. This was confirmed by the mom-to-be we gave it to. This will go on our list of gifts for expecting-and-new moms. It's good as a source of "relaxation" for anyone unsure of what they've just gotten themselves into and some of the feelings they might be having. Moreso, it's just downright funny.
- Reviewed in the United States on August 16, 2008I suppose I should have looked at this book in a store before buying it. I didn't realize it was more of a "gift" book; something you can read in about 10 minutes. While it's fun to read other mothers' "secrets," there really wasn't anything particularly juicy. Not worth the $. Pick it up at a bookstore and flip through it, instead.
- Reviewed in the United States on March 3, 2013I loved this book. It has hilarious and heartwarming secrets. The only complaint was I tried the sample and it didn't have a single dirty secret in it, I had to purchase the full version.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 25, 2008I was really disappointed with this book. I was expecting a good read with fun stories from moms... instead it's a book with only one sentence on each page. While the snipets are mildly entertaining, I could have gotten the same thing from an email foward. It feels as if the authors and publishers just wanted to make a little money with a hardback, glossy-looking book, rather than providing us true entertainment. That said, I have heard their first book is much more substantial and a really funny read. While I really discourage anyone from purchasing this book, I am going to read their other book and am optimistic that it's going to be worth it.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 20, 2008I bought this book for my daughter's birthday after seeing the authors on TV. Once she opened it she started reading and laughing. We had a hard time getting her to open her other gifts! She said she was going to buy a copy for all her mom friends. She is 34 with 2 boys ages 5 and 1.
- Reviewed in the United States on August 24, 2014to short for what I paid. only took less than n 5 minutes to read. Funny but to short for a good Sunday read.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 12, 2013easy to read, only one sentence per page. Very funny, my mom enjoyed it on Mother's day. Buy it, highly recommend!
