Laura Scott writes interesting and fast paced suspense books full of danger. This one does not disappoint. When Army Lt Max Forrester arrives home on leave, he finds his sister in the hospital ICU. Her attacker is assumed to be her boyfriend. The social worker assigned to his sister is watching over her but then he discovers the Tara has problems of her own. Tara is being stalked by someone who seems to be very dangerous. Will Max be able to save both his sister and Tara from harm?

A good read although it felt kind of rushed. I would have liked to have seen more on the Lissa aspect. For her to be such an important part of the story we didn’t get much on her.

THE THANKSGIVING TARGET is Love Inspired Suspense debut by Laura Scott. The riveting story is full of danger and obstacles, and the characters are so engaging I could not put the book down until I turned the last page several hours later.

A war hero Max Forrester is strong and protective, and his sister's social worker and a young widow Tara Carmichael is his match in spiritual strength. When they are brought together by extraordinary circumstances, they realize that only relying on faith - and each other - they can save each other and in the end find happiness.

I highly recommend this book, and I am looking forward to reading the next story by Laura Scott that I hope will be in print soon.

good reading with expected ending almost. Loved it

I would have given it a five star rating but the ending kind of ruined it for me. All of a sudden these two really strong people started saying things out of character. Madly in love way to quick. Intense caring with moments of feeling like they could love each other...yes. The dialogue became over the top and unlike the previous conversations. Great story till the end. The religious aspect was good but could actually have had more impact with less said. With a few tweaks, this could be a nail biter.

It was a little too unrealistic...but I like the mystery part of it. I would give it a 3 out of 5 for a good read.

The Thankgiving Target is Laura Scott's debut album for Steeple Hill. It was a thrill to read! I recently finished it and was definitely one of my favorite Love Inspired Suspense books that I have read. The mix of sweet romance and suspensful danger is pure perfection. Great job, Laura! I look forward to many more great reads.
