- Reviewed in the United States on October 15, 2017Absolutely loooved the heroine (clumsy, warm, & cheerful)! Loved the kids (beyond adorable)! And, loved the hero (handsome but terrible cook)!
"Ability to cook turkey required"...I bought this book so fast after reading that cute scene in the preview! Ms. Morgan's story would make you feel like it's Christmas regardless of whichever day of the year it is. Magnificent art & adaptation by Eve Takigawa.

- Reviewed in the United States on May 3, 2018I have read this book at least four times. It's a short sweet love story. When I saw the movie "Holiday" staring Jude Law O immediately thought of this book. It isn't exactly the same but parts are. This book is a nice holiday read.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good read - some bits I wasn't crazy about.
A bit of a hit and miss author, especially some of her earlier stuff, however, a lot of her more recent stuff is really sweet and very readable. I would have rated this book as a hit except I couldn't help feeling a bit sorry for the rather judgemental viewpoint on poor Carly! I'm not sure I would stay with a husband who left me while I was giving birth to attend to someone else either! And then to come back and treat me like I was just another patient and not his wife, giving no emotional support at all - and to top it all disappearing at every opportunity to go to the hospital, even when not on call and at Christmas - I totally got her point on being the only way she would see him was if she had another baby at the ward! This to me kind of reinforced the idea that any marriage with this guy would only succeed if you were happy for him never to be there - which to be fair works for a lot of woman with guys often away from home for months at a time TBH - I just wonder though why they would ever want them back lol! So all in all for me - not the best romance setting....
