Powerful Greek, Unworldly Wife (Innocent Wives Book 1) Kindle Edition
Shortlisted for the 2009 RT Reviewers’ Choice Award
Gorgeous Greek billionaire Leandro Demetrios plucked plump Millie from her farm and swept her into his glamorous world. Wrapped in his arms and draped in diamonds, she thought nothing could touch their romance.
But the deepest, darkest betrayal did. Her sister claimed she was expecting Leandro’s baby. So Millie ran away, distraught. The designer dresses had clearly never hidden how unsuitable and unglamorous she truly was.
Now, though, Leandro’s powerful voice is demanding that his wife come home. And, to her shame, she’s willing . . .
“An intriguing beginning, a sexy hero and passion that leaps off the pages will make you want to read this novel in one sitting.” —RT Book Reviews (4 ½ stars)
“A deliciously romantic tale that is liberally spiced with a fabulously feisty and indomitable heroine, an irresistible Alpha hero, witty repartee, steamy sexual chemistry, red-hot love scenes, powerful emotion.” —CataRomance.com

- Reviewed in the United States on June 14, 2017Ordinary girl Millie marries billionaire Leandro and is overwhelmed by the glitzy life he lives. Things go from bad to worse when Millie's glamorous older sister arrives for a visit and sets out to seduce Leandro from Millie. Millie leaves and disappears for a year. Meantime, he sister gives birth to a son everyone believes is Leandro's. On the night when Leandro is taking a famous movie star into his bedroom for a wild night, both are surprised & shocked to see Millie sitting on his bed. Leandro is shocked to see her after all this time & so is the movie star who is really pissed at the intrusion. Millie states she is only there to take custody of her sister's child & raise him as her own. Her plans go awry when Leandro refuses to let her disappear again. This is a very good story & sometimes gut wrenching.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 1, 2021I rated this 5 star because it was different. I would have liked!ed a little less of the repeating of her fears and many more in the end say like a confrontation with the actress and have it come out where she's special and the trees has egg on her face and her husband calls her rocky either way it really is a good story.
- Reviewed in the United States on August 31, 2015I may be playing devils advocate here, but I totally understood this guy's behavior. In reading the undercurrents of his feelings, I get that he totally loved his wife. In her thoughts she indicated that he was always gentle and good humored with her. Which was out of character for him. From the beginning of the book, little things said indicated to me that the guy was totally set up by her jealous, bitchy sister. The h had self-esteem and self-confidence issues, and she being so insecure fell for it hook line and sinker. The hero, had he been more sensitive, would and should have tapped into this. His behavior stemmed from the fact that he could not believe that she did not trust him to give him hearing, she did not analyze the situation, nor consider the source of the issue. He was a bit harsh and cold blooded in his behavior afterwards, but that is where the angst of the book came to play. Greater communication was what was required in that relationship. There were too many misunderstandings, and her secret went for way too long. I had initially rated this 4 stars, I changed it to 3. She took paranoia to a whole different level. I did like both characters, and even found her funny with some of her analogies. The ending turned out to be really nice. The rating is now 3.5 stars

- Reviewed in the United States on August 30, 2014Even though I love Sarah Morgan, I was extremely reluctant to read this book because of the wife "witnessing her husband having sex with another woman". I truly did not think I could get past infidelity in the strictest sense.
OK, so he was not having sex, leading up to it- definitely- but not actual sex. Perversely that made a huge difference in my mind. He also immediately chose his wife over the other woman very convincingly.
Upon seeing his wife a year after she left him, he immediately, and throughout the book did everything in his power to keep her with him and he treated her extremely well. It was obvious the love he had for her.
Bottom line is this woman had some of the lowest self esteem I have ever seen. Leandro was so kind and patient with her, it was endearing.
It would have been a solid 5 had Millie opened up to Leandro a little earlier- he deserved it.

- Reviewed in the United States on June 28, 2014The artwork was excellent, and the plotline engaging. I only wish the story told the truth of Costas' true parentage, and the 'affair.' For those who are romantic at heart this is the book for you!

4.0 out of 5 stars Lovely romantic story
I love the story of Leandros and Millie. His protectiveness is beautiful to read. I absolutely myself turning each page wanting to read more and more of their story. I always find Sarah Morgan's writing wonderful. Anyone that reads this book will thoroughly enjoy it.

5.0 out of 5 stars more like insecure wife!
Must be hard to be married to an almost perfect guy like in this book.
Millie was so in love and yet scared of being with her man because of her feeling of almost extreme insecurities.
She was lucky to have a husband so crazy over and she did realised towards the end and live hopefully ever after.
