Vanishing Act (Sisterhood Book 15) Kindle Edition

4.6 4.6 out of 5 stars 3,050 ratings

Identity theft has consequences. The wrath of the Sisterhood is one of them. From the #1 New York Times bestselling author of Razor Sharp.

For the women of the Sisterhood, planning a lavish reception for their longtime ally, attorney Lizzie Fox, at their lux mountain retreat is the ideal way to unwind after their latest successful mission. The only cloud over the happy occasion is that their mentor, Charles, is still mysteriously absent.

But amid the friendly bickering about floral arrangements, cake tiers, and wedding favors, the ladies of Pinewood receive a frantic phone call from Nikki’s fiancé, Jack Emery. Harry Wong—Yoko’s true love and a staunch supporter of the Sisterhood—has become the victim of a ruthless identity theft ring. Harry’s bank accounts have been closed out, his beloved dojo is being foreclosed, and he’s being evicted. Distraught, Yoko is about to rush down the mountain to Harry’s aid when the Sisters intercept her. A situation like Harry’s requires finesse, careful planning, and the Sisterhood’s distinctive brand of vigilante justice . . .

From the very first book in the sisterhood series to this one, each book delivers a little action, a little comedy, a little adventure, and, of a little romance. But you can't go wrong when you pick up a book in the sisterhood series. Each one in their own way delivers a great story.

How in the world can any human so destroy a person's life by identity theft. The hopeless feeling of lossing everything is beyond words. Thank goodness for the Vigilantes coming to Harry Wong's cry for help.. Bonnie and Clyde deserve everything that could possibly happen to them. Love the "killer bees" scenario.. Another good book about the Sisterhood..

This one deals with the sordid case of identity theft. Making it even worse the thieves stole the identities of foster children making them destitute upon adulthood—if not before—unknowingly. The Sisters are on the case along with Charles, Maggie and the Post, and Bert and the FBI. It’s personal. Just ask Harry!

Another great book by Fern Michaels! With the use of the Vigilantes, she is taking on many of societies problems. This time, she took on identity theft. I have a very close friend who was "taken." The victims feel lost and don't know where to turn. He is working with the FBI, but he is still in hawk for hundreds of thousands of dollars, and can no longer retire. It's A real problem to so many people - many who are not adults and many who are senior citizens. I cheered loudly seeing the vigilantes win. I wish it happened in real life.

I love how the vigilantes are becoming more outrageous in their photo ops after a mission. Can't wait to see how the next story goes. Another crime down taken down with the identity theft.
