This was a good read and I was satisfied with it throughout the entire book. I didn't skip any pages. I did figure out who one of the "bad" people was early in the book but not because the book was poorly written. There was only a small group of characters to work with, so it really was a process of elimination. I think what made it so easy was that the house had tight security, so you knew you were dealing with someone who had access and then I just went from there. I liked that it was the guy with the faith. Both my husband and I were Christians when we met, but his was deeper and more knowledgable, so it can be the guy that leads. This is the second book I've read by this author and intend to follow her. She does a good job with suspense and creating characters that are interesting. I don't see a cookie cutter pattern and there have been a variety of settings. Unlike some people, I do not "rave" over all the Love Inspired books. Some of them are okay reads and others are very good. This author is on the very good side and I can see her getting even better since I dont' see cookie cutter in her.

Sabotage centers around a topic I don't know very much about: Horses. But I really appreciate that the story is written with such depth that I learned about the topic without feeling like I was being taught. By the second half of the book, I felt like a horse expert.

Emilie Gill struck me as a study in opposites. She was warm and cold; strong and weak; needy and independent...she felt like a combination of the me I show the world and the me I keep hidden--you too, I'd imagine.

The love story was surprising. Usually, I expect the woman to be the spiritual one trying to win the man over to Christ. Not so in Emilie's case. She's the one who needs to find truth and Derrick, the handsome groom, is eager to lead her there. The suspense thread is scary and maddening. I can't stand not knowing things. LOL I really, really wanted to find out what happened--that's why I called it a page-turner and it also proves how invested I was in the characters.

I highly recommend this book.

US Olympic hopeful, Emilie Gill, just wants to race her horses. But she can hardly concentrate now that her groomer and good friend has apparently went away. Her father hires her brother-in-law's old college friend, Derrick Randall as a temporary replacement until Camillo returns. But on his first day, Emilie and Derrick learn that Camillo has returned - dead!

The police immediately accuse Emilie and arrest her for Camillo's murder. Emilie is grieving over her dear friend's death and wants somebody to help her find the truth. Derrick is the only one who will. But can she keep her heart safe while finding the truth?

Derick is a Christian and is very attracted to Emilie. He knows that he cannot get involved with her since she is not a believer.

The romance is only luke-warm in this book. The suspense is interesting - kept me guessing, though I had some correct suspicions from the beginning - and some incorrect. Though the story was pretty predictable, it was interesting to read how it all played out.

I gave this book 5 stars for the interesting setting. I didn't know much about horses and Olympic riders, and these details made the book come alive. It's a sweet romance that most folks will enjoy. This is an author to watch.

I started Sabotage on a Saturday morning on a beautiful day at the beach. And while I did get some swimming in, the end of every chapter left me hanging and made it difficult for me to put the book down. It was an excellent read from start to finish. I recommend it highly.

Take a totally to-die-for aspiring vet hero, mix together with an Olympic hopeful equestrianne, add a heavy dose of suspense peppererd with murder, attempted murder, false accusations and fea and you have the perfect recipe for a fast-paced, can't-put-down romance.

Set in Virginia against the backdrop of thoroughbreds and Olympic trainers, Wilkerson expertly draws her readers into the story, weaving a nice balance between the genteel world and suspense. And for one who doesn't read suspense, I thoroughly enjoyed this fast-paced story. Novel Journey and I recommend it for a great summer read.
