What an incredible storyteller Sandra Marton is and Captive in His Bed is an excellent example of Sandra's brilliance. This is the second in her Knight Brother triology and is one very hot and sensual read. From the very beginning the reader learns what a strong and rugged man Matthew Knight is, plus sexy, dangerous, handsome....all of the qualities of a strong Alpha male. He is sent to Columbia to find a woman, Mia.....the beautiful and seductive woman on the run. Their story is explosive and one that sizzles from the very beginning. However, have a box of Kleenex near by as it's also sensitive and tender.

I feel the prologue should have been omitted, and the meeting of the main characters could have been better. Other than that, it was a great read.

This book is for all practical purposes a erotica. From reading the other review, I thought it would have action, where the hero would protect the heroine. The action was all between the sheets. it was very steamy.

Mathew was hired by Douglas to bring back Mia. No money was ever exchanged. Mathew found Mia, and kidnapped her. The chemistry was hot from the very beginning between the two. Mathew came off as a jerk at first, but redeemed himself pretty quickly. As a agent it was his job to come across being hard as steel, and not give into temptation. Some temptations are worth falling for.

Stronger man gropes weaker woman by force repeatedly while holding her down or in handcuffs
and while threatening rape and death is not sexy and would not turn any woman on.

The book started strong. I loved how vivid the hero and his job were at the beginning. The scene came alive for me, and I was very interested in where this story was headed. The problem happened when he met the herione, and his brain turned to love doo doo. First, all he could do was manhandle her, and some of it was borderline abusive. I was getting tired of him groping her as his "prisoner," especially when he cuffed her to the bed and did it. That was horrible.

But after he got her, it's like he totally forgot his job and was on vacation with his lover or something. I said to myself that his client is going to show up on his doorstep if he doesn't answer the man's calls, and low-and-behold...what happens?

A stupid misunderstanding keeps them apart, and the H even leaves the country while the h is held capitve. I was afraid she'd be dead by the time he figured it out. I want to know how she got into his house after he was gone, though. I thought the security was uber tight?

Why was she naked under the waterfall by herself? Why did she run from him like he was Jason at Crystal Lake? Some things just didn't make sense to me, but I wanted to love it.

My favorite part of the book was when the H hooked up with his brothers and stormed the bad guy's mansion. That was video game like fun!
