About the Author

After leaving her convent school, Miranda Lee briefly studied the cello before moving to Sydney, where she embraced the emerging world of computers. Her career as a programmer ended after she married, had three daughters and bought a small acreage in a semi-rural community. She yearned to find a creative career from which she could earn money. When her sister suggested writing romances, it seemed like a good idea. She could do it at home, and it might even be fun! She never looked back.

I loved the way true love emerged from the H/h situation. What started as a business deal became a sweet romance. And what I appreciated most was their honesty, none of the usual misunderstanding typical of some stories. They deserved to find love in each other.

On the back cover: "WANTED: ONE WIFE. PRICE: TWO MILLION DOLLARS. Self-made and every inch a bachelor, Sydney entrepreneur Mike Stone has one month to get married--or he'll lose a business deal worth billions! He's confident he can find a bride for the right price... Natalie Fairlane, owner of the Wives Wanted dating agency, is appalled by her new client's proposition! But the fee Mike is willing to pay is very tempting. Plus, offering herself up for the job has nothing to do with how wickedly sexy she finds him...no, nothing at all!"

I really liked the characters of Mike & Natalie. They both had issues, and as happens so often in life, they kind of backed into love when they didn't expect it to happen.

This is the last in a 3-part series, and I recommend readers get the first two books and read them in succession, to get the full effect as it is meant to be. The little tidbits thrown in about the previous characters, now downgraded into secondary characters, will mean more then. Those two books are: #1, Richard's story, "Bought: One Bride." #2, Reece's story: "The Tycoon's Trophy Wife." I recommend them all. They are each different, so it is rather a challenge to choose a favorite. I love amnesia stories, which Reece's story has. I enjoyed how sweet a man Richard was in book #1. This last book here, with Mike having the coldest attitude of the 3 men, was great too, because all 3 stories culminated in this book, and I liked Natalie's tough attitude. All 3 books are very sexy!

    Wives Wanted...if I weren't already married, I'd be making a bee-line for Natalie's dating service, that's for sure ;)

Ms. Lee wrote a funny, sexy, and emotional ending to this series. I enjoyed all three books, but two and three were my favorites. Mike and Natalie's story will have you laughing and crying. Great novel!!!

Not bad at all. At first I found the H to be insensitive and uncouth, but then I started to understand him and really grew to like him. A fitting end to the 3 part series.

I've always liked a man who takes charge and gives it all he has towards the woman of his desire!

A Scandalous Marriage is the third in the Wives Wanted! series by Australian author Miranda Lee. Natalie Fairlaine runs a high-class introduction agency but is leery of any attachment herself after her last deceptive man. But her parents are in financial strife, and when software entrepreneur Mike Stone wants a temporary wife for business reasons, she is tempted. After all, he is insisting there will be no sex involved, she will net a cool two million if all goes to plan and be freed from obligation by a convenient divorce. There is one slight wrinkle in the plan: Mike is wickedly sexy and Natalie soon realises that he is attracted to her too. It's a novel idea for a romance plot, even if the outcome is a bit predictable. The filling in of Mike's backstory is a bit clumsy and some of the dialogue is a bit wooden, but the conversation that Mike has with his prospective business partner is priceless. Characters from the two previous novels in the series also appear. Quite enjoyable.

This must be where tropes and freakishly huge anime-eyes go to die. A veritable heap of tropes in this one, including (possible spoilers) the rich, orphaned child of a bad mother, fake marriage that turns into love, both main characters are ridiculously hot but single, super-rich self-made man, aloof guy who thinks he doesn't want love but just needs help, unloving guy with tragic past, Trust Issues out the whazoo, all rich people have yachts, Instant Baby, and more!

The artist's style where mouths are concerned makes me wonder if she missed class that day. I get that anime and manga characters are unrealistically proportioned, but the mouths here are frequently quite weird, and in a couple frames, Natalie's feet are freakishly huge, like a couple pontoons attached at her ankles.

There's only one obvious typo (that I noticed), but if you get far enough to notice it you might as well finish.

(Fair to point out that I'm generally a pretty soft reviewer, but the tropes combined with the strange approach to figure drawing was too much, even for me.)

Not a great book, the hero spends most of his time insulting the heroine, and that doesn't change right up until the epilogue. The sudden turn-around and declaration of love wasn't convincing, and the couple doesn't seem to have much in common other than chemistry.

This is the third and final book in the Wives Wanted series and I wish there was more. This is Mike and Natalie's story. I loved this book because there is no nastiness or blackmailing just simply two people falling in love but having to work on their emotions and their happy ever after when they both have pasts. The secondary characters mostly from the other books are there. The story is extremely well written. Highly recommended.

The hero and the heroine in this story is so alike. Sydney entrepreneur Mike Stone don't do committments and owner of "Wives Wanted" agency Natalie Fairlane is off men and has been for the last 4 years. Its quite funny how they were thrown together and then ended up been a married couple for real. He married for convenience in order to seal a business deal worth billions. She married him as he offered her 2 millions and she was desperately in need of some cash. Her parents were on verge of losing their home.

This was the third story of the three friends and I must say I was a bit disappointed, it all seemed to have been written in such a rush, bah humbug I which they didn't do that.
