Deuce Flanagan, son of renowned New York plumber, Ham Flanagan, is currently pursuing his doctorate of scatological studies at the University of Minneapolis. Inspired by numerous children's books from his childhood that carefully taught him that it was "okay to poop," Flanagan wrote the first ever children's poop book for adults, Everybody Poops 410 Pounds per Year, winner of the fourth annual Golden Loaf Award for Feces-Related Literature.

Currently, Flanagan is living in Cappadocia, Turkey, compiling the first ever coffee table book on the toilets of the Ottoman Empire.

Twelve years ago, my lactose intolerant ex-girlfriend and I passed a sewage facility plant when we drove past it looking for a local building downtown. She held her nose and said "Do you smell that? We're passing a poop plant. That's our poop. I hate poop." I felt apprehensive because some women never understood the biology of digesting foods. Where does all our undigested food go after it travels out of our bowels? Why is it that some people are constipated? And why are some women so sensitive over an important matter that happens each and every single day at all parts of the world?

Since reading other reviews concerning this book, I decided to order it because since having prior relationships, women have had sensitive subjects about pooping. With the woman that I am currently in a relationship for three years, I decided to order the book as a possible gag book to read while going to the bathroom. It was worth reading. I learned more about what kind of poops a normal thirtysomething should have while releasing said waste. It was also nice knowing where it all goes after flushing.

Hilarious with stories included, it explains all about pooping. It even includes sections about the different types that you might have come out into the bowl. Sure, this subject might be truly disgusting, but it is biology. All humans and animals go through the same process. And in truth, people really do poop 410 pounds a year. This is a great book to explore if you ever have questions.

This book is worth reading when plopping a squeeze in your restroom. The next time you are pooping, ask yourself, "Self, why do I need to poop?"

GREAT VALUE ... funny, factual and just a good, quick read that makes you keep reading and not put it down. The illustrations and wording are well thought out, clever and attention grabbing. I learned so much about things I either took for granted or were wrongly informed. This book would be a great gift. Either as a gag or as a legitimate present for just about anyone. The world would be a better place if people read books of this style (not necessarily the subject matter) periodically. The book's pages should be numbered next time.

I got this book as a gift for my husband, who loves poop humor. He absolutely loves this book! It sits on the back of our guest toilet now and we get lots of comments when guests go to the bathroom... They love it too! The graphics are good the book is funny and informative (oddly it is) filled with interesting facts and trivia. Lots of fun and a great gift

This was meant as a gag gift for a family member, but it ended up being pretty interesting. Great way to pass time.

This is a fun read. If you or someone you know is entertained by poop it is a must have. I got one for my birthday and in turn bought it for a friend. The price seems a bit high as it is a very short read.

My dad is basically a twelve year old in a sixty year olds body, so poop jokes are definitely his thing. This is the perfect gift for someone who enjoys bathroom humor! The pictures are colorful and there are tons of facts about crap, which is cool if you're into that sort of thing. Happy with this purchase.

My uncle is a plumber and every year for Christmas I usually get him something strange and toilet related, and this is one of the best things I have gotten so far! This thing is full of the most unexpected and sometimes hilarious facts related to.. poop. Every tidbit of information is accompanied by a well-drawn and color illustration that goes along perfectly with the text. It's a must have for anyone who isn't grossed out by poo!

Used this in a white elephant game and my grandma got it, she was reading it out loud and was laughing so hard she was crying. She couldn’t even finish the page as many times as she tried. Fun for the bathroom or as a white elephant game gift. A+++
