- Reviewed in the United States on July 18, 2010Carlos is hiding out in London during the Christmas holidays because someone is trying to kill him. He's rich, gorgeous, Italian alpha male and an obstetrician, what more can someone like Zan ask for? I have started to read this book at least three times and can't seem to finish it. It's just boring. It's very descriptive about the whole labor and delivery thing, and I just don't care. I work at a hospital, and I know there is nothing romantic about it...at all. Maybe that's the problem, I know too much about the doctors, nurses, pa's, etc.... So, maybe it's ok for you. I will try to finish it and maybe give it a better rating.
Ok I finished the book and the ending was very good, Carlos was awesome and Zan was funny as hell. She could fight better then Carlos security people. Like I said, it's pages and pages of dialog about baby delivery because Zan is a midwife and Carlos is a very rich obstetrician. I did add an extra star because the ending was nice. Getting there was the problem, I found myself turning my kindle pages at the speed of light.

Fellow readers this is definitely an awesome book for me, I really like it...It seems like italian men are hot, sexy, and irresistable:) I really like the story, I had to finish it just in one sitting, I fell inlove with Carlo's character and I remember ny first crush who was a doctor:) I wish I could go to italy and meet some of these gorgeous italian men in flesh... Sarah Morgan, I congratulate you with this awesome book, keep on writing...

5.0 out of 5 stars Chemistry, tenderness and storyline.
Read this as part of an easy reading M&B marathon while recuperating. Very enjoyable.
Ok so you usually know what you are getting with M&B but I picked up a couple lately where I just didn’t like the guy and just didn’t get what the protagonists saw in each other. THIS however was great. Two nice characters who were clearly both attracted to each other and cared for each other. Chemistry and tenderness and a better than most storyline.

5.0 out of 5 stars Chemistry, tenderness and storyline.
I enjoyed the story line about Kelly, who refused hospital treatment, but it is not clear how Zan would gave found out about her. I found it a bit odd that a heart surgeon, Carlo's brother didn't understand the medical term for the problem with his wife's pregnancy as I thought that doctors in training went through most disciplines before specialising, but perhaps that us just my lack of knowledge.
