- Reviewed in the United States on September 24, 2017One of my favorites by Ms. George. A charming and independent heroine, and a hero that isn't revoltingly alpha MEAN.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 18, 2016Typical of a Catherine George book, with some interesting emotional dynamics and no small amount of roller-coaster flip-flopping. I enjoyed it, but I can see how others might have a problem with the rapid changes of emotion on the hero's part.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 4, 2016First one I've ready where the guy is rich but he isn't some company CEO or Prez, or owned a ranch or whatever. Very refreshing. Romance was on the okay level but not as enchanting as other Harlequin, I'm thinking that's because the manga didn't show case any dates or the two falling in love with each other where it isn't spontaneous.
*did not read the original novel

it was ok not wow still likeable and readable to enjoy
ABOUT BOOK:
Lucas Tennent: Wealthy, bachelor City banker. He wants a life without complications.
Emily Warner: Broke, jobless and not in the mood for men! She wants peace and quiet to work on her novel.
But their paths collide when Lucas finds Emily -- his cleaner! -- using his apartment as her study! Irritable and infuriating, Lucas is no normal Prince Charming. But independent, irrepressible Emily makes a very unusual Cinderella....
- Reviewed in the United States on November 1, 2013This isn't a romance. I couldn't finish the book. The story started out with promise. Could even had a funny quirky twist. The writer seemed to want to take the story on a dark turn with a past relationship turning into stalker. The actual m/f relationship centered around her caring for a male that's sicker than a dog with a horrible flu. His personality flip-flops between rude/angry sick male and flirt. There seems to be no real chemistry going on (he's sick for goodness sake) when she goes in to check on him in the middle of the night, he grabs her hand, pulls her to the back and for intents and purpose forces himself on her. ... Really can we call it what if felt like to me when I was reading it? ... I have nothing against sudden attraction and some rough sex. But it has to be mutual without the girl running into the bathroom ashamed and crying afterwards.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not the best romance I've read!
Found the story line inspiring and the characters were weak and not exactly engaging.....ok if you have nothing else to read.

1.0 out of 5 stars Old style writing
I did read this book but it was hard work. Didn't like the description of their first time together bordered on force and the writing was so old fashioned - neither one of them seemed to have any passion -

1.0 out of 5 stars Not an enjoyable read
This book was boring, characters had no depth no personality. I have read better free books. Cleaner falls for her boss he falls for her then they get married, just about sums it up.
