Proud to Be Right: Voices of the Next Conservative Generation Kindle Edition
In Proud to Be Right, Jonah Goldberg, the New York Times bestselling author of Liberal Fascism, presents voices of the next Conservative generation. A fresh and provocative collection of lively political writing from right wing writers under the age of 30, Proud to Be Right rebuts the conventional wisdom that Generation Y is a uniformly liberal demographic—and that intelligent young people today fall blindly into the Barack Obama camp.

The NEW conservatives speak out
In 2008, when young voters turned out for Barack Obama in record numbers, liberal pundits crowed that conservatives are a dying breed. But is it true that the next generation is uniformly liberal? The answer, thankfully, is “no.”

- Reviewed in the United States on November 29, 2010As a relatively young (young meaning anyone younger than Goldberg) independent I gave this book a try and really enjoyed it. I found myself disagreeing with some of the authors on a couple of points and really "seeing myself" in others. These are short essays that cover a range of topics in a variety of writing styles and perspectives. A nice reminder that American conservatism is indeed a "big tent."
- Reviewed in the United States on May 23, 2013With the exception of Mr. Goldberg's occasional tendency to use big words you may find yourself stopping to look up, he never, ever disappoints. Mr. Goldberg is highly intelligent and I have never seen him post or publish information he couldn't back up. His writing style is compelling with solid information and irreverent humor. If you happen to lean conservative, you will find yourself liking the material as well as challenged by his refusal to say what others want to hear at the cost of the truth.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 2, 2016All election long cuck Jonah has been WRONG. Reading his book; it's clear to me Jonah has in fact been cucked hard. After chapter one, I felt sick. After chapter two, I wanted to puke. And then, by the end of chapter three, I didn't just put the book down lightly, I tossed it aside with great force! The details are superfluous, the writing hackneyed, and the wit and homour nonexistent. And the only thing it reminds me of is the past, and almost certainly not the future, unless one possible version of the future includes in it a stupid little white scruffy mutt wearing an even stupider, though no less dim-witted and much-maligned, freaking multi-coloured party hat. Don't buy it. It's garbage. And never, ever go full cuck!
- Reviewed in the United States on December 3, 2010After the liberals all get together once again to whine, yell, shout, and light up a dobie with a glass of cheap California wine, the conservatives will be grilling huge steaks with their college grads in their back yards dolling out household chores since they are NOT employed but expected to chip in anyhow. WE can NOW finally guarantee that our youth did wake up because they cannot find jobs due to the liberals agenda. Liberals are like rabid animals on college campus' everywhere. These college grads cannot find a job even at Mickie-D's because of the illegals have them all who only speak Spanish. The college grads are NOW conservatives just because they left college with a piece of paper along with the dislikes of their liberal professors with nothing else to do; but whine some more & light up some more dobie who love the Mexican Cartels for the best pot. Thank God college grads now grow up faster when there are no jobs merely because of the liberal agenda. The parents can't kick em out because they have no jobs and their tired of supported the kids. So, the now adult grads are smarter than ever since many have student loans to repay. These kids woke up so fast who gladly left the Lefty's back at college and all turned conservatives in the REAL world. Thank God again you can't fool all of the people all of the time, just until college graduation and no sight of employment. Love this book, shows who is leaning right, the new young conservatives mulling around in the private sector, where succeeding is still the American Dream. Teachers teach, because they cannot. Still true.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 24, 2011I bought this book because it had Jonah Goldberg's name on it...and i love reading his work. Wow....what a collosal disappointment this book was! Goldberg put in a very short preface and nothing more. Ok...I said. Certainly he has identified some brilliant minds and master writers...or...atleast some insightful young conservatives. Negative. Negative. Negative.
Mr Goldberg serves up a dish of college level rants that was embarrassing to think of as the "up and comers" of conservative writing. Not one of these writers had a grasp on the core problems facing society today. Hell, not one of these writers could shake the reader from the sense of listening to a college dorm discussion.
I was highly disappointed in Jonah for passing this junk off to his fan base as having anything to do with his work.
