Shelly shows that even the Amish can have life challenges but she also shows us how we can trust our family and friends to be there for us and with grace we can resolve even the most difficult ones. You have to open your heart when you read her books and focus on life's most basic emotions that are so easy to forget in our complex lives. Readers of all faiths can come away from them feeling good about ourselves and have hope. She reminds us how human we all really are, to embrace it and share it.
I would buy more Sisters of the Hearts books if there are any being considered!!!
I have both the printed and Kindle versions. I got the Kindle version since it is currently on-sale and I'm trying to convert a lot of my hard-copy books into electronic versions. The Kindle version of the book is pretty disappointing. It is full of typos that do not exist in the printed version and should not exist in a professionally edited/produced book. In just the first chapter it contains: shortempered, hous-guest, toexpensive, wors-case. There were more, but I tried to stop noticing after awhile and tried to just enjoy the story.
I'll be honest and say this makes me a bit hesitant to continue converting my hard-copy books into Kindle versions if this is an example of what to expect. It may be a bit nit-picky, but typos like these jump out at me and jar me out of the flow of the story. I would expect a more professional job from a publishing house as large as HarperCollins e-books.
