Blood Trinity is about Evalle a warrior in the Belador tribe. What sets her apart is the fact that she's also an Alterant. When an Alterant shifts into it's true form it ends up killing the Beladors. All of the other Alterants have been imprisoned for their own good but since Evalle has never shifted she's been given a pass. Though every move she makes is being watched and judged.

The Ngak Stone is about to reveal itself and whoever it chooses as it's master will wield the power of the universe. The Beladors have sworn to protect humans and the world and are in search of the stone to keep it out of the hands of evil.

Evalle has been setup and it seems everyone and their brother demon is out looking for her. Not only does she have to find the stone but she also has to prove her innocence to her tribe that she has not shifted or risk being locked up forever.

I'll start with the ending. It was good but now I'm stuck waiting for months to read more in the next book. So frustrating. One thing that was super annoying was that every man in this novel was a super hot guy. So annoying. Not everyone can be sexy as hell.

One other major thing that I did not enjoy was that practically every other sentence Evalle was sure to tell us that she was independent and she needed no ones help ever. Ok, I get it. Very independent.

Where as other series in Kenyon's books seem to focus on one set of characters each book it feels as though this series may in fact center on Evalle. There was not a huge conclusion to this one which makes me thing there is going to be way more going on for her in the future. I'm excited and disappointed all at the same time for that one. There were two male heroes in this one and I feel like in the future she may have to pick one. If I'm wrong and the next book doesn't have Evalle as the heroine I would have to say that I would be majorly disappointed and frustrated to no end. So here's me hoping for the best.

All in all I enjoyed the story. I stayed up late a few nights just trying to read more and more of this one. I liked it and can't wait for more in the series. I can't say this is my favorite series by Kenyon but I'm not sure anything can compare to The League or the Dark Hunters. Although, Kenyon worked alone on those projects. The Bad Agency with Love was also pretty good. I'd have to give this one 5 stars in anticipation of the next book in the series.

**Also** If you want to read Trey's story. (A character in this novel.) There is a short story about Trey, Sasha, and Rowan in Dead After Dark by Sherrilyn Kenyon. As I was reading this I realized that Rowan sounded familiar and I searched and searched until I found where I had read her name before.

This is different then any other book written by either of these two women. I was a little shocked to find out after finishing the story that Sherrilyn Kennyon would write a novel that was not a romance. It was a very intreging story and has a lot of potential...it does semm as this wont be a character a book kind of novel and does seem as though it will follow Evalle thru the series. Which is kind of a wierd situation because you can see them developing other characters story lines and that would be great to see them in their own books but this book leaves you hanging as to what will happen with Evalle, and there is no HAE... I was disapointed, I wil not lie. I have loved everything that has SK name attached to it, this was the first time I didntand was heart broken. It leaves you waiting for more and there doesnt even seem to be a sequel in the works with all the other book SK is putting out in the next year and this isnt the kind of story line you really want to wait 2 years to get more of the story. The back cover doesnt give a very clear summary so here is my version, hope it helps.

Evalle who clearly did not have a great childhood grew up into a VERY indepentant woman and doesnt want or need a man in her life. She works for VIPER as a Aragant who is half Belador and half we never find out. She is not trusted by most as the Aragants are very dangerous and are locked up for the Beladors and Humankind safety. Evalle is always trying to prove she is a Belador and always has to look over her shoulder.
She has 2 frinds who would go to the end of the world for her and trust her as they know her secrets and the real her as much as anone could. Tzander and Quinn...but they are just friends. After a demon kills a girl Evalle has to prove it was an aragant and it wasnt her before the VIPER finds out it may have been one and locks her away or suspends her. While this is happening VIPER is on the search for the Ngak Stone, and they team Evalle up with Storm. Storm seems drawn to Evalle right away but has to prove her isnt out to send her to lock up and will really help her. All the while the is Isak who is head of Nyght Inc, a human group of military whos goal is to killall aragants and anything else that threatens man kind. Isak is also instantly drawn to Evalle. You only see Isak 3 time in the whole book but clearly there is a love triangle between Storm and Isak. The ook does end ok but really really laves you hanging for more. I woulld say dont buy this book until the 2nd one comes out to avoid the feeling I had at the end of this book but if the book doesnt sell then there may not be anymore and that would be a shame as it really was a great idea and something new, assuming they get it right in the second novel!

I have been a fan of Sherrilynn Kenyon's Dark-Hunter series for years & her & Dianna Love have made me a fan of this series.

Evale is a Belador, a supernatural race of warriors who protect humans from demons & other Supernatural races that would harm them. But Evale is different from other Beladors, she is an Alterant, 1/2 Belador & 1/2 something "other" which she has no knowledge of as she was raised/imprisoned by her Aunt until she was 18 yrs old. Her past is a mystery even to her. She also has a secret that could get her locked away & b/c of experiences in her youth she cannot handle being caged.

Beladors have a multitude of gifts from kinetic energy, telepathy, enhanced strength, & by linking their minds all of their gifts become enhanced. A demon infestation has come to the ATL & it looks like someone is trying to "out" Evale's secret & have her locked away, worse, or is she just being paranoid? Evale has to find answers & proof that these human & demon kills were not her & for a woman who doesn't trust easily or @ all most of the time it is a challenge she must meet.

The is a powerful artifact that is revealing itself to the world in Atlanta & Evale & the other Beladors must find it & protect it from destroying the world while battling Kujoor, warriors who possess fearsome fighting skills, immortality, & a vendetta against all Beladors. Evale meets 2 mysterious men w/their own secrets that awaken her long dormant feminine side & she will have to choose whether or not to trust them. Her life & freedom depend on it. While there is minimal romance in this book the female lead, Evale is a strong, dominant character who can take care of herself & cares deeply for those she does trust. It has great action & an original story line. Highly recommend! Off to buy the next book in the series! Can't wait!!!

I really enjoyed this book, I only downloaded because I love many of Kenyon's other series. The story flows well, you dont get lost in the time line, and I like how the heroine is extremely badass but has major trust issues, it makes her seem more real.

One of the best paranormal series I have read and i have read a heck of a lot. Believable characters and a plot that, for a change, doesn't rely on graphic sex every few pages. Not many books I've read more than once but this one is an exception.

4.0 out of 5 stars Urban Fantasy mit ungewöhnlicher Heldin
Reviewed in Germany on October 23, 2010
