    Marta's never been able ignore the need in others. Raised in foster homes, she's always had to work hard to be noticed. And she's been missing her best friend, Sydney, ever since she moved to Alaska and married her soul mate. Now Marta's finally takes a trip to visit her. Klondike, aka Ike, has lived in Alaska all his life and he'd do just about anything for his best friends Shayne and Sydney. Ike's got a reputation as a lady's man; there's not many ladies in the area he hasn't made love to and the ladies are usually the ones doing the chasing. But not Marta; she sees Ike as a Don Juan, the love 'em and leave 'em type. Marta can't resist Ike though when he's handed his deceased sister's baby to raise and care for. All those instincts to help in time of need, has Marta running to his rescue.

    This is another very sweet heartwarming story. There's a lot of fun witty dialogue between Ike and Marta, and some sparks too! It was nice reading more about Shayne and Sydney and all the other folks of Hades, Alaska. Another truly enjoyable read!

    Yup! the second of five stories of Hades, Alaska.
    We have Sydney's friend, Marta Jensen coming from Omaha, Nebraska to finally visit Sydney and her new husband, Dr. Shayne Kerrigan.
    Thinking the man accompanying Sydney was her husband, Marta enthusiastically greats him with a hug and a kiss. Much to Sydney's delight. Which Ike LeBlanc returns just as happily.
    Ike has a silver tongued way of loving women. Which, of course, raises a red flag for Marta. He is too good looking and not to be trusted.
    But then sorrow enters Ike's life - he loses his sister but gains a niece. Ike knows women but nothing about babies. Recognizing his sorrow, Marta offers to help Ike learn how to cope with a baby since he burned his hand. Marta maintains her stringent attitude all through the book except she falls into the hormone trap. [Don't they all]
    And inadvertently saves the Salty Saloon, for Ike and Luc, when helping on a fire run. She is still determined to leave until ----
    An easy read but still a bit of mush -- characterizations very good -- but the women's morals are screwed up.
    Ah well - on to the next installment with Luc LeBlanc in FOUND: HIS PERFECT WIFE. Here's hoping.
