With more than 10 million copies of my books in print worldwide (Isn't that wild?), I'm an award winning and USA Today bestselling author with over 90 published books. My stories have been translated for sale all over the world and after a long career in traditional publishing, I've gone indie. I am loving the freedom to write the stories both me and my readers enjoy the most. My new mafia romance series, Syndicate Rules features the morally gray alpha heroes and spice I love to write. I write contemporary, historical and paranormal romance. Some of my books have action adventure and intrigue. All of them are spicy and deeply emotional. I'm a voracious reader and love to talk about both my books and those I've read (or should read...good recs are always welcome) on social media. Welcome to my world where love conquers all, but not easily!

Great read about overcoming adversity & miss understandings. Couldn't put it down. As usual Lucy Monroe came through with a winner.

My favorite Lucy Monroe book! 4.5 stars.

Rico DiRinaldi is left in a coma after saving a woman from a mugging during a visit to NYC. When Gianna, who has been in love with him for almost a decade, gets the call from Rico's brother about the accident, nothing can keep her away. Not the threat of losing her job and her home, and certainly not Rico's gorgeous but fridged fiancée, supermodel Chiara. Once Rico awakes and its confirmed that he doesn't have the use of his legs, Gianna is even more determined to stay as close to his side as Chiara will allow. Before she can wrap her head around what's happened, Gianna goes from being a family friend to being Rico's new wife. Rico is capable of giving her pleasure beyond her wildest virginal dreams, but is physical pleasure enough to carry her through a marriage with a man she loves who does not return the feeling? Get ready for all the feels as Lucy Monroe takes you on a ride from convenient marriage to unconditional love and watch as Rico learns that love can prompt even the most powerful, arrogant men to allow their vulnerabilities to show.

Good old fashion book. Italians are very proud of their heritage and this book shows how much they follow their traditions.

Enrico, Rico to his friends was the super rich, gorgeous Italian alpha male who saving a lady from being mugged was shot and hit by a car...already you have to love this guy. Geanna was in love with Rico since she was practically a child, and she was the first to arrive at his bedside and stayed at his bedside day and night. This was very unlike his fiance Chiara the model who stayed in her hotel sleeping. During the nights Geanna held his hand and told him how much she loved him, and it was touching. Somehow it was just flat, and I don't know why but I never warmed up to Rico. I guess it bothered me that he was engaged to that stick figure with no soul, and then he dumped her. Yes he did end up with Geanna but there was very little conflict I thought it was a little boring. I kept waiting for something to happen, but nada.

The story is a beautiful one, of unconditional love in the face of tragedy affecting both procreation ability and every second of life. This is not about ‘power’ and ‘control.’ But about giving, supporting, even in the face of uncertainty and tragedy.

It was pretty good. I do not like he only seemed to notice her when he was injured and the heroine was there for him. He said he felt things towards her before but that he pushed that aside because of the fact that she was like family. I also did not like that the ex-fiancé's sexual attributes were brought up by different characters that much. I mean who tells their new wife that he had felt a deep sexual attraction to the woman he had proposed to before he married the heroine? I would rather he not mention it at all but at least he knows he was never in love with the ex! I also felt bad about the heroine because the hero could not perform all his husbandly rights so all she could think at one point when they were being intimate and he could get nothing out of it was that the last person was his ex-fiancé. I would have thought that too and wondered if he was thinking about the feel of her while pleasuring the heroine. My mind works weird though.

This book is a unicorn! A Harlequin where the hero is not a complete jerk through the story and the heroine has an actual backbone! I liked the story, I liked that the misunderstandings were brief, and I like the moments of honesty.

I just couldn't find anything wrong with this story. I liked the H and h and I think Ms. Monroe took on a sensitive subject and portrayed a pretty accurate response on how many men would react if faced with the possibility of paralysis and impotence. The h just wanted to love her man and the H was willing to work hard to overcome his own insecurities for the woman he loved. d:)

Another great read from Lucy Monroe. This is the story of Giana, shy girl totally in love with italian family friend Enrico. She never had a chance with him because he only saw her as a baby sister. Until he ends in hospital with the prognosis of never walking again. Is a beautiful story highly recommended.

3.0 out of 5 stars MARRIED IN HASTE
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on August 7, 2011
Enrico DiRinaldi has been shot and run down by a car. Gianna Lakewood rushes to his bedside to be with him as he is in a coma. Andre Enrico's brother is the only other person at the hospital, Chiara Enrico's fiancee has been and decided not to stay by his bedside. Gianna talks to Enrico telling him he has to wake up and get better as she loves him. When he eventually wakes he realises he cannot walk it may or may not be permanent. When his fiancee returns to the hospital she objects to Gianna's constant presence at Enrico's bedside. But once she hears that he may not walk again she is reluctant to stay. Gianna is surprised when Enrico informs her that he and Chiara are no longer engaged and he now wants to marry her. Gianna has loved him since she was fifteen years old, but she knows he does not love her, he has always treated her like a sister. That was my problem with this story within an hour of ending his engagement to Chiara he was getting married to Gianna, as the reader it was a say what moment! Though to be fair this book did improve as I got into it. To start with I was not too keen on the heroine she behaved a bit like an obsessive lovesick teenager, but she did grow on me as the story progressed. Enrico was all alpha male, and seemed to like getting his own way, the ex-fiancee, was probably justified in her accusations at the start of the story but she was just not a nice person. This was a nice read I am not sure that I found it very romantic,as Enrico's reasons for marrying Gianna were fairly callous, he decided that if he married a woman he did not love, he would not be at risk of being manipulated. He was desperate for a child, but did not seem to want to wait for his condition to improve. Although he had made astonishing progress already, but he coerced Gianna into IVF. Not an entirely satisfactory read.
