A beautiful ending. I love the relation between brother and sister. The story was very exciting and I was looking forward to reading what was going to happen in the end.

Solo saw Penny for the first time in a magazine at the wedding of her father and stepmother. When he finally met her in person he knew she was the one for him. The only problem was that Penny was barely nineteen to his thirty-two... Penny fell in love with Solo at first sight but it was a bumpy ride and I enjoyed every moment. This book was really good and I recommend it highly.

Most romance books has weak and indecisive men. the hero in this book is strong and forceful, though maybe a bit too forceful, and takes what what he wants. Quite an interesting dynamic between the young and innocent heroine and the strong and dark hero.

Jacqueline Baird has developed another form novel in which the characters seem to resemble other characters in other books.
The themes are basically the same. Wealthy powerful man, younger woman by at least 12 to 15 years, a mode for revenge whether the situation is real or imagined and several obligatory sexual scenes. While this book is hardly a literary achievement and some of the grammar and sentence structure should be improved, the story lines are enjoyable if not predictable.
This particular story line is of attraction and undisclosed love and revenge. The female protagonist is not yet out of her teens and is still very innocent. The male protagonist is experienced and financially powerful and "gets what he wants". Makes for a good read if not very realistic but then this is a novel after all.
I would recommend this as a quick read and for the most part enjoyable. Fairy tales often are.

I loved this book. It had passion and well developed characters. I like to see characters grow and develop a relationship. This book delivered. I highly recommend it.

I like it, but with reservations. The main main and female characters have good chemistry, but his ego and his family get in the way, big time. I didn't like that the main female is so naive and passive. With that said, the book isn't all bad, so I recommend it and of course, our hero does grow up and act like a man, eventually.

Solo Maffeiano is a self-made man who has it all--looks, money, and prestige. Penelope Haversham, who lives with her family in their decrepit mansion, is a young woman devoted to her family. After seeing Penny's picture in a magazine, Solo was instantly attracted to her. When he finally gets a chance to meet her face-to-face, he's knows she is the only one for him. After the death of her parents, years later, a more mature Penny comes to term with the fact that she must sell her home in order to pay inheritance tax but what she did not know was that Solo owns half of her mansion.
Penny is great character who is smart, strong and full of love. Solo, who is much older than her, is as tough as they come. He's lonely, fears rejection, and try's his best to fight the feelings Penny stir in him. This couple gets a second chance but is Solo ready to put his heart on the line, this time? Is he willing to admit that it takes more than chemistry to make a marriage work? Great love story, you will not be able to put it down.

Twists and turns make this book hard to put down. How two intelligent people could get so much so wrong is the mystery this book solves. Quite a story, although the heroine can be somewhat annoying when interacting with the alpha male. Sometimes I loved her and sometimes - not so much
