He has a missions and a plan and nothing will stand in his way, she is in a rock and a hard place and needs a solution.
Therefore he yes bullies his way into getting what he wants to solve the problem, but then everything changes his feelings her feelings and if it wasn't for a jealous ex lover who knows what would have happened.
I found this book very entertaining a real sweet story and it left me wanting more.

... this was not her best effort. I still rated it 4 stars, because even an off-par Bianchin is better than most, but I was diappointed in this outing. "The Wedding Ultimatim" bore a distinct resemblance to "The Marriage Arrangement" (July 2001) in some key plot points, and therefore lacked the spontaneity and originality I usually count on this author to deliver.
Danielle d'Alboa, scion of an old and aristocratic Spanish dynasty that now finds itself nearly bankrupt, makes a last-chance plea to Rafael Valdez, holder of their major debt, for mercy. Rafael, new money from a rough background, offers to solve Danielle's financial problems in exchange for an heir; his child will be a blue-blood. Set against the backdrop of Australian society, the plot is well-paced and sophistocated.
I count on every Bianchin I buy to be a keeper, and often re-read her books over and over. This one did not make that cut, but was entertaining. I certainly recommend it as the best of the Harlequin offerings for April 2002.

Danielle's life is crumbling around her as she and her mother face bankruptcy. She was from d'Alboa blood line and Rafe wanted her, and he set in action events to get her. Their relationship is very special, even if he does use persuasion she cannot resist for her mother's sake. He is sophisticated and rich but he wants her as his chosen vessel to conceive and carry his child. The plot was good and the growing relationship between Danielle and Rafe had enough tension to keep me reading to the end.

I really liked this book...slightly different from Helen's normal writing...not too much emphasis was placed on the decor of the room...held my interest to the end...keep them coming Helen..you are an amazing writer..

I loved the story. It was pretty amazing to read the whole story. It had a good flow to it.

I enjoyed the plot and characters. Dannielle was a "spunky" person who would challenge Rafe Valdez and his decisions-even if Rafe's decisions were eventually carried out. At least he had to think about it!!

I agree with another reviewer. This was my third Bianchin book, and I couldn't tell them apart. New character names don't make a new book. Actually, there was one difference. The heroine was way more annoying in this book. When endangered, she complained about her husband increasing the security at her store. Moron. This book might be a three-star if I hadn't already read other Bianchin books with the same plot, but done better.

3.0 out of 5 stars PLEASANT BUT PREDICTABLE
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on April 2, 2012
Danielle and her mother are in financial difficulties, they will soon have no home. They have sold all their valuable belongings but there is nothing left. Since their fall from grace, they were also social outcasts. Once they had graced the upper echelons of society, but no more. Even their lingerie business was going downhill.
Danielle has requested an appointment with their landlord Rafe Valdez, to ask for extra time, before they are thrown out on the streets. Rafe puts a proposition to Danielle marry him, as he wants an heir. He does not have the blue blooded background that she has, but what he does have is money. Seeing as he is not short, fat, bald and ugly, but tall dark and handsome she of course agrees.
This was an okay read but quite predictable. As usual Ms.Bianchin has her trademark crazy ex-lover interfere in the two main protagonists relationship. Although her actions at least livened up what was quite a bland offering.
