The tycoon—and the temp!

When Matt de Capistrano took over Georgina's family's business, there were fireworks! Although her family badly needed his support, Georgie longed to refuse point-blank to work with Matt. The man was arrogant, infuriating…sexy!

Then Matt threatened to withdraw his takeover offer unless Georgie became his personal assistant: on call twenty-four hours a day, at Matt's villa. Georgie was cornered. And Matt began, irresistibly, to seduce her…

Top review from the United States

Georgie Millett makes a faux-pas before even meeting Matthew de Capistrano, but he still falls head over heels in love with her.
And even though he tries to hide it he goes to great lengths to please her, even giving up the site he was going to build on because she played there when she was a child.
Georgie knows that her brother's business depends on Matt, but she can't seem to resist taking jabs at Matt, and he lets her over and over, because he knows she will be his in the end.
Love finds a way, and even though Matt hasn't done anything to make Georgie his enemy, she does everything to keep the antagonistic situation going until she meets Matt's Mum.
Georgie starts to give into the inevitable, and love grows. Though they really don't have an affair. Love finds a wonderful way.
Ms Brooks put me into this story, and even though i found Georgie a bit immature, and Matt a little too patient, it made a good read because no one is perfect and Ms Brooks shows what can happen when imperfect people like we are still find love.

I found this a good book. Georgie is a great character. She has ideals she sticks to in order to find her one true love. Can Matt love up to her ideals.

Puede ser, olvidamos que los chismes... Chismes son y nunca son 100% verdad. Pero el amor es él quien siempre triunfa sobre todo lo demás. Dulce historia que no hay que perder.

1.0 out of 5 stars don't bother it's rubbish

I normally like Helen Brooks and the other two reviews led me to believe this was her normal standard of book but I think the other two must have been reading another book! The heroine ' Georgie' unlike the previous reviewer's report is the wettest woman going. A couple of slight - 'stick up for myself' moments at the beginning and then she suddenly out of the blue and with no plausible run in to her change of heart, turns into a lovesick moron offering to go to Spain and do anything he wants. I don't know what the other reviewer was thinking and somewhat resent her review as I bought this on the grounds of it! If you like weak, stupid, lovesick, wet blanket 'walk all over me' feamles that take on the role of pathetic mother security blankets then you might enjoy it. Oh and you also need to like totally up their own egos, selfish insecure males, with an unbelievable plot. If you don't then really, really don't bother - as I wish I hadn't. Skipped loads of the stupid stuff - what a waste of money.
