This is a sequel to Love Signs. The story actually begins BEFORE the other one ends. You get a bit of a different perspective. In Love Signs, you read about the girl (Jenny?) learning the identity of her father. A typical teenager, the girl learns where her father lives and takes off after him. When her mother (Sorry, can't remember her name...) goes after her daughter, She is forced into a dangerous situation and her estranged husband! They are suddenly thrown together as they hide out until the criminals are caught!
The story is very fast-paced. I wish the author had gone back and finished the book after writing her rough draft. Sometimes I felt like I was on a relay race to get to the finish line. The size of the book tells me the author didn't write as much as she could have, so it could have been better...
Still, I found myself engaged in the mystery and wondering how it finished. I also sensed the chemistry was still there between these two...
