The Scrapbook Riddle Kindle Edition
Instead of swimming, scrapbooking and hanging out with friends, her mom drags her off to her Grandma Charlotte’s at the opposite end of the state. When they arrive, it's obvious something's wrong.
Grandma Charlotte is confused and rambles on-and-on about a riddle. She gives Jessica an ancient 1920's scrapbook and begs her great-granddaughter to solve its mystery . . . to follow its trail of clues. And find the treasure hidden somewhere in the old three-story Victorian family home.
To make things even weirder, a strange man has rented the top floor of Grandma's house with his rude nephew. At least the mystery will give her something interesting to do besides the million chores her mom has planned. And if Jessica finds the treasure, her grandma won't have to move.
How is she going to stand being stranded there without at least one friend?Fans of scrapbooking, treasure hunts and mysteries will enjoy this book.

- Reviewed in the United States on July 7, 2021This was a fun mystery for kids, and I found I particularly enjoyed it, because I'd read its sister story, The Lake Quilt Mystery before it. The main protagonist of this story was mentioned briefly in that book, and it was fun to meet her in this one. Jessica has to spend some time with her grandma and her great grandma, and is not looking forward to the boredom. Especially with a broken phone! (It was Jessica's fault.) But when she meets the mysterious man renting the third floor of her grandmothers' house and his nephew, she starts to realize that not only will she not be bored, she'll be too busy solving a mystery that hasn't been solved for decades!
There were a few remaining typos, but the story is well done. Kids who enjoy mysteries, will enjoy The Scrapbook Riddle.

- Reviewed in the United States on April 27, 2012This book was cool. It had some creepy stuff and good twists and turns that I really liked. It was easy to read and I wanted to find out what happened next. I hope the writer does more mysteries. That would be good if she made a series.
