Emma Darcy is one of my favorite romance writers. This book is one of her older ones and absolutely delightful, full of humor. This book made my top 40 list.

The story read like a satire of comedy right out of all the great books if time. The main character goes to Australia from England in search of his family lineage. He finds his cousin's widow and son. He possesses as the family butler. This story was dry in places due to the UK humor. And their courtship was predictable.

A nice, feel good read with strong stability from Ashley as a single parent/business woman as well as entertaining mischeif from Harry.

Harry arrives in the nick of time to prevent an explosively bad bully and goes onto bring justice to the badly done by Ashley, more than once. Lots of laughs, some incredible insights and feisty clashes from 9yr old son versus the neighbourhood.

Emotional angst packed into this story - Harry's lost love and Ashley's bad marriage experience and an unusual twist ending. Gr8 story with several gorgeous literary moments from ED - one of my fav moments - from 9yr William - 'I love you Mum. I want what's best for you', he pleaded softly. Awwwww!
And from H, Harry - All the wealth in the world doesn't have the power of commanding life and death in those whom you love'

The book was sweet, but not exciting. Her son was something else though, he was the most entertaining character in this story. A bit too poetic for me, and I am definitely not into the paranormal. I will not read again.
