They acted on impulse!

Falling in love again… Lauren hadn't wanted or expected to. Yet when Michael Timberlane smiled at her across a crowded room, all her good resolutions went out of the window.

Michael had also vowed never to fall in love again. And the last woman he wanted to share a life with was Lauren. He had every reason to despise her…and when she learned that he was out to break her heart, she resolved never to see him again.

Too late! For their one-night stand had consequences that would keep them together forever….

Praise for Emma Darcy's The Fatherhood Affair
"Emma Darcy pulls no punches with this emotionally stirring tale that readers will want to savor."

There was too much unnecessary angst. They both needed to be honest and more forthcoming with each other.

I am an Emma Darcy fan! This is one of my favorites. She has the ability to make you a part of the story. You really care for the people that are the main characters but also for minor ones (that you want her to write books about them). If I could give it a 4 1/2
    stars I would.

For a book written in the 90s, the heroines characterisation was really good - some of the convoluted feelings/thoughts very understandable.

Hero was likeable. His takedown of the stalker ex was really fun.

All in all a fun read

    Not that good

This story written in what I can tell was about lies. People who couldn't get their way told the biggest lie of all. When the h met the H she couldn't understand why he treated her the way he did. And when she found out who he was she was concerned that the feelings she had for him were wrong. But what happens when she finds herself pregnant?

Wonderful, captivating, funny and glorious. Such a book...parts were so funny yet dramatic and soulful. I would most definitely recommend this book.

I liked the characters and I liked the politics Lauren has to tip toe around to keep everything running smoothly in her PR work. Enter fire-breathing Michael with his pre-conceived ideas and the sparks fly. It's a little out there with H's over-the-top strategy to deal with horribly abusive stalky ex-husband, but hey, it's Mills and Boon. Thoroughly likeable.

The Father of her Child is an very well written, engaging romance. The relationship between Michael and Lauren is believable and sweet. There are very few of the typical tropes generally present in a Harlequin- the relationship is refreshingly honest. The only really unbelievable plot point is the manner in which the abusive ex is dealt with- but even that was fun and explainable in the context of the book.
