DOES THE HEART REMEMBER LOVE?

Caleb McMann embarked on the most emotional journey of his life, the search for the little girl who had received the ultimate gift—a new heart.
His daughter's heart. Hitting pay dirt, he temporarily moved next door to Erica Clemmons and her child, Hannah, to secretly check up on the young girl.

However, Caleb had never counted on bonding with Hannah—or falling for her beautiful mother, whose compassion and life-affirming kisses made him whole again. I couldn't decide how well I liked the story until nearing the end.
Little Hannah's childish ways and manners were so wonderfully portrayed that I bonded with her.
But why do adults dismiss a child's conversation as not worth paying attention to? My conclusion is that they do not believe in Angels.
Erica and Caleb missed the little spiritual points going on in Hannah's life.
It seems that Caleb and Erica were brought together for the purpose of forming a family unit with little Hannah in the bonds of family love.
This story proves that it is hard to deal with pain of any kind with out the benefits of a spiritual belief background. And children are the most open to spiritual influence because of their innocence.
Knowing all of this, I was a bit disappointed in the characters of the story.
Again the premartial sex which just smears the purity of love and always brings about the feelings of betrayal -- but it is not my place to second guess the author -- just hope they quit doing the same thing all over again.
Highly recommended with reservations --M.

Caleb McMann is a man tortured by the memories of the car accident in which he lost his 7 year old daughter Katie. Lossing his wife was painful but she had been ill for a long time. Lossing Katie was hell and as all parents do he feels responsible and believes that if he had done one thing or the other Katie would still be alive today. No matter what he has done since Katie's death nothing has eased the pain. A news item about one family losing a son in a motorcyle accident and donating the corneas to another person prompts Caleb to search for the little girl who now has Katie's heart beating in her chest. Caleb not only finds Hannah, but also finds that Erica, Hannah's mother breathes life into his own heart. Can he get past the fact that he is looking for his Katie in Hannah or will this push Erica & Hannah further away from him? If you are not an organ donor this one really makes you think about it.
