Vengeful Djinn: Unveiling the Hidden Agenda of Genies Kindle Edition

4.4 out of 5 stars 209 ratings

If you fear one thing in life, fear the djinn. This groundbreaking book presents the findings of Rosemary Ellen Guiley and Philip J. Imbrogno's investigation into the powerful and mysterious interdimensional beings known as djinn or genies. It reveals what the djinn are, where they can be found—and their hidden agenda against the human race.

Working with material compiled from a variety of sources—including their own case files, Middle Eastern lore, the Qur'an, teachings of Islamic scholars, and the latest theories in quantum physics—the authors explore the relationship between the djinn, demons, fairies, shadow people, and extraterrestrials. They discuss the military's interest in these clandestine beings, offer eyewitness accounts of modern human encounters with the djinn, and reveal the location of interdimensional entry points in North America.

Editorial Reviews

From the Author

From Rosemary Ellen Guiley:  The Djinn have intrigued me since the late 1980s, when I began long-term research of demons, angels, magic and related topics. I was already involved in paranormal investigations, and over the course of time, I encountered cases that fit certain patterns.  Some of them were problem "hauntings" that resisted  explanation and resolution.  Something else began to emerge from that: the hidden presence of the Djinn.  This hidden presence came more into focus as my research expanded into shadow people, ultraterrestrials, fairies, aliens, cryptids and other entities.  The Djinn are little known in the West, but that does not mean they are not present.  The Djinn, as well as any entity, can be anywhere -- and they are.  We may not recognize them because they are unfamiliar to us, or they have taken on disguises. This book takes the Djinn out of the realm of folk tales and into the present, in our paranormal encounters that happen every day and anywhere.  The Djinn are among us, and have been interacting with us throughout human history.  What are they doing, and why?

This book as well as the book "The Djinn Connection" by same author brings all the missing pieces information together to complete the puzzle. After 30 years researching myself and even making charts to se where it all fits, this book certainly explains and help fill in the missing bits. An amazing book, and from my own experience can confirm many of the things explained here. A "must have" book to keep in your library for reference. As the world heads for greater issues it is very clear who is behind it, and most of all, WHY! Abductions, UFO, aliens, spirits, shadow people, men in black, mists, and shape shifters, strange creatures found in London Building in 1960, its all here and all goes back to the Djinn's, these incredible intelligent entities, that have stayed hidden and used a cloak at the time thats suits the time frame to deceive mankind. What are they so angry about? The book reveals both sides of the issue humans face in the attempt to take back the planet.

This book is not for the faint of heart! I know these things exist. I have seen them several out of the corner of my eyes. HAd one growl down the back of my neck when I was 17. It growled like a dog and I could feel its hot breath also. Creepy to say the least! THis book explains in easy terms what they are and what is their plans for us. Not good. I found this book very informative and helpful as I am an exorcist for 36 years now! Long time! Well researched info in it. Gets into deep things like multi dimensional inverses and what they are actually made of. Not flesh and blood.

While I don't accept all of the authors' conclusions, I found the premise intriguing. As far as various unexplained phenomena sharing certain attributes, labeling them as djinn is as useful as using fae, ultraterrestrials, daemons, or any other term, I suppose.
It's definitely interesting and a fun read.

After reading several reviews left by others I had to edit my own review to address some things.

Rosemary Ellen Guiley states on page 98-99, "Djinn activity may not account for all ghosts, of course, but perhaps they have created or piggybacked on the haunting phenomenon. Perhaps some of our most famous ghosts are not ghosts at all. It may be difficult, if not impossible, to ever know the difference."

There are several more places throughout the book which reiterate this concept. She clearly states obviously not every haunting or supernatural encounter or being is Djinn. She just asks readers to take them into consideration.

As for the fear aspect others have commented on, she just states what other legends have said about them, as well as some accounts of individual's contact with the Djinn and a small group of the Djinn's intentions. Also, Rosemary states several times through the book they are not all that dissimilar from us. Not all of them are "evil" (which is a human concept by the way), in fact it is even pointed out that it may only be a minority of them that would be considered "evil." The majority of them most likely want to be left alone to pursue their life's path caring less about what humans do.

    On that note:

This book is so full of information, I will be re-reading it frequently. It has several great starting points of reference for me to continue my own research into the Djinn. This whole book was full of enlightening moments for me. When dealing with non-corporeal beings I firmly believe in being informed. Whether it is on purpose, for whatever reason, or solely by chance an encounter happens, knowledge is paramount!!! I believe it is a fools folly to venture into the otherworld or another plane besides ours without having proper knowledge first. What a person may come across whilst there are not always benevolent and NO other entity or being should EVER be dealt with in a disrespectful manner (be they benevolent, malicious, or neutral). I would definitely recommend The Vengeful Djinn to anyone I know that is serious about learning of other realms or who has frequent encounters with non-human entities. It will be an eye opener. Some of the realizations may even be chilling. Regardless of how you are affected by the information, The Vengeful Djinn is a book I highly recommend one keep in their library of knowledge.

I am looking forward to purchasing and reading The Djinn Connection.

Thank you to Rosemary Ellen Guiley and Philip J. Imbrogno and everyone else for all the hard work, research, and experiences necessary to bring forth this information.

Frankly, I would have given this book 5 stars if it wasn't for the massive amount of spelling and grammatical errors throughout its entirity.

If you can get pass that, the stories and explanations of the folklore and stories is just great. A lot of research and care went into the writing of this book and it truly shows that it's a work of love, I just wish they extended that tot he editing.

I purchased "The Vengeful Djinn" yesterday after anticipating its release for months. My own research into "extreme haunting" situations indicate that these often-overlooked entities could very well be responsible for a significant percentage of negative preternatural occurrences throughout the world, and throughout time. Both Guiley and Imbrogno are impeccable researches and writers, and I predict that this book will be a cornerstone reference guide for any serious paranormal investigator.

I was supposed to see the amount of info in this book. I had a lot of AH HA moments.
I’m happy to have read this and gained some understanding.
I recently had an experience with one of these and I was told it was a demon.
Since my experience I have been researching this topic daily. It has changed me. I think people need this information and grateful I found this book. I will be purchasing the hard copy now.

A full comprehensive guide & introduction about the Djinn or demons in Western lore.
Interesting comparisons & a thorough explanation of the background / religious beliefs or cultural settings that shape people's perception of these entities .
The subject of physicality in relation to matter & how it was proven by a well known scientific experiment; the Geiger / Marsden gold foil experiment in 1909, is detailed thoroughly with other concepts such as reality, celestial objects, and barriers, which are outlined.

This I found to be extremely important to explain the physics side of this subject in a comprehensive and easily understood way for a person like me who's knowledge in physics or astronomy is lacking so a little background explanation in these fields is vital.

...with a bunch of information about the Djinn in islamic lore and tradition. The author has reached for what Arabic culture has to say about it and that the Djinns are quite real, although we may not believe it. He also tells an experience of two soldiers of the US-Army in Afghanistan, who after telling about there experience haf to leave the Army immediately. There are more such experiences to find throughout the internet.

There is a world beyond, where we oftentimes do not know of, but reach unto the tales of the Indians, Aborigines and African tribes and you find quite a bunch of such tales. Makes you wonder, why we in the west are unaware of this world beyond, still. I am surprised that we know almost nothing about it here in the West and that authors or people who talk about it are often laughed at.

This was the first book on the topic that i have read and i was very impressed! It was easy reading and gave the very basic knowledge and background of these particular entities i sought, i found it hard to put down and look forward to reading the follow up book. The author of this book doesn't claim all unexplained phenomenon is Djinn related but opens the mind to the idea it's certainly possible a lot of phenomenon could well be linked.

Very interesting and in depth study, however, it conspicuously leaves out the mass of research and experience of believers who successfully expel these malign visitations with the Name of Christ. We are not as helpless in this sphere as some would have us believe....the internet is full of such successful cases....the Blood of Jesus Christ saves us....that was the whole point of His sacrafice, to free us from the Adversary.
