He’ll have to find the last of three emerald caskets to clear his name. The search takes him, Ruby, Sam, and Mr. Fry to Paris, Rome, Athens, and Delphi. They discover Delphi once held the greatest treasure on earth. It could still be there, waiting to be found by someone good. Or evil…

From the Back Cover
The final chapter of the Archer Legacy opens in the Central Criminal Court of the Old Bailey in London. Gerald, Sam, and Ruby are attending the murder trial of Sir Mason Green, hoping to see their longtime enemy put away for good. But just as the trial is about to begin, Mason Green is killed—and Gerald is framed for the murder. He only has one choice: to run.
Now he and his friends, along with Mr. Fry, are off on a quest to clear Gerald's name. Their journey will lead them across Europe in a race for the greatest and most powerful treasure ever assembled on earth—one that waits for someone, good or evil, to finally claim it.
Mysteries will be solved, friendships will be tested, and all secrets finally revealed in this, the last installment of Richard Newsome's pulse-pounding epic.

About the author

Richard Newsome (1964 - still kicking) was born in Wanganui, New Zealand and lived the first few years of his life on a small farm among the sheep and pigs. His family moved to Australia when he was two-and-a-half and generously took him along as well.
He enjoyed school but despite decent grades chose to become a journalist. He spent many years chasing police cars, ambulances and politicians. He eventually went to university and graduated with a first class honours degree in economics, which still doesn't get him decent tables at restaurants. He worked in business for a bunch of years but decided that ditching his career and becoming an author was more dignified than buying a red convertible.
His debut novel The Billionaire's Curse, which won the Text Prize for Young Adult and Children's Literature in Australia, is the first in a trilogy and is being published in seven countries.
Richard stands six foot two in his socks and one day hopes to afford some shoes.

- Reviewed in the United States on April 22, 2013Have you noticed that many series currently on the market are not always engaging for all family members? I have both a daughter and a son, with whom I read 'family books' after dinner, on lazy Sunday afternoons, and by the fireplace. I am always on the lookout for books that will 'speak' to both of them, highlighting the values of family, friendship, loyalty, etc.....
Richard Newsome has written a great series beginning with "The Billionaire's Curse", and currently ending with the "Mask of Destiny". I stumbled across this series when buying books for a neighborhood child, and couldn't give it away after reading the first chapter in the store (had to buy it!). This series has three friends using their respective talents to solve a long-standing puzzle, written in a manner that is exciting to young tweens (and this adult), with the adventure taking the children to different continents. I highly recommend this book and series to all.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 11, 2013This series kept my grandson reading well into the night! He had to be told to turn off the light and go to bed. My grandson says it is well written and a page turner. He also likes all the locations it takes place in the world. A great series for summer reading!

- Reviewed in the United States on September 6, 2012I loved this book. It was full of twist and turns, and a very surprising surprise at the end. I never could read mysteries, but this was more of an adventure than a mystery. I loved how all the books took you to a different place. I absolutely loved it.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 9, 2013I know this is a "kids" book but I have read all of this series and have throughly enjoyed each of them. Sometime you just want a fun, fast read without all the sex, and drama. This was it. Would recommend to pre-teens, teens and adults.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 11, 2014Amazing sequel. I can't wait to read the Crystal code. One of the best. For anyone that likes Percy Jackson.
- Reviewed in the United States on March 25, 2018Fun story about a kid who inherits a fortune and goes on the run with some friends. Third in series.
