    First of all, this book is a follow-up to There Comes a Season (Love Inspired #27). That book was about Bryan and Laura. This book is about Kevin MacIntyre and Emily, the woman he was supposed to marry eight years ago!

    Because Bryan and Laura play a pretty prominent role in this book, I suggest reading "There Comes a Season" first. It will make this book more enjoyable, I think. In fact, the couple meet again at the couple's wedding!

    This story was sweet. Kevin did get on my nerves a bit. When he and Emily decided to pick their romance back up, that wasn't it. Kevin was very wishy-washy in what he wanted from Emily and kept changing his mind. I was a bit uncomfortable at Emily's accepting the engagement ring when she did as there were a lot of issues that still needed resolved. But in the end, I think everything worked out for the best.

    In spite of my problems with Kevin, I had to give this book a five. It kept me interested, was a fast read, and made me want to read the whole thing as soon as possible! The author put plenty of drama in the story and didn't try to bore the reader with a lot of useless detail. I could also connect with both Emily and Kevin. I also enjoyed the 'follow up' stories of Bryan and Laura and their growing family!!!

    When Kevin MacIntyre sees his ex-finacee after a bittersweet 8 years. It was hard not to look at her twice. She was still just as lovely as when he last saw her. Trying to hide his emotions, not without success. Emily was still that serious minded young lady that went to medical school. She decided to take a job near her home, knowing full well she had to see her ex-finacee again. She wanted to get away from him, but with the hospital board signed Kevin to make the new clinic. She was force to see him everyday. Kevin was still doing what he wanted to do, and he got to see Emily too. Although they couldn't avoid each other long, the love that never died 8 years ago was burning high and strong. When Kevin fell in an accident, he had to rely on Emily. She was still the same sweet loveable lady he always knew. Now they were back together and he was given a second chace around.
    Great for all ages, a must have in anyone collection.
