IN LOVE WITH HER BOSS

Undistracted by love, brawny construction boss Brad Phillips had worked his way up from street kid to millionaire. Of course, Rachel Wood, his invaluable assistant, had believed in—and secretly loved—Brad from the beginning. But after eight years of a strictly professional relationship, Rachel dared not dream of more.

So why, when she requested a leave of absence, believing herself in danger in Dallas, did Brad insist on whisking her to safety—in his home, in his arms, as his “convenient”
wife? Had Rachel’s near-disappearance—after nearly a decade—stunned Brad into seeing her as a woman…into believing in love?

I've read it a few times and I still love it. The two main characters have been with each other for like eight years and the guy never really noticed her until that moment. And thats when things started moving :) One of my favorite lines is when the guy is trying to convince the girl to be with him and says [to the girl], that they've practically already been a family together, raising their baby (the company). So sweet.

I have always gotten a good story when I read any of Annette Broadrick's book and this one did not disappoint me.

Brad's lack of trust in everyone nearly wrecks his marriage when he believes gossip he overhears at work. The stalker is well concealed although there might have been a clue early on in he story but it wasn't obvious.

A nice twist to this story would have been to discover that Brad's father lied about his mother deserting him and have mother and son reunited but you can't have everything in a romance. Pity.

Overall, an enjoyable read and recommend it to romance fans.
