- Reviewed in the United States on September 4, 2014I got this first as a Kindle book from the library, and wasn't really expecting too much from it. I'm really surprised at the variety in this cookbook. The salad section is amazing. I haven't even gotten to the main dishes yet and decided I had to have this cookbook as part of my collection of 800+ cookbooks. I'm not expecting to like every recipe, but so far I see a few I'll try. Someone said in a review this is mostly basic recipes. I would tend to disagree with that statement. Granted, there are some basic's, but I think there's plenty of variety here. I see several chicken enchilada recipes I want to try. I may have to check out some of her other cookbooks!
- Reviewed in the United States on February 5, 2008Lots of good recipes but not a picture in the book if you like a picture now and then this ones not for you, Now if you can get along without them its a good book lots to make easy I seem to have most of the ingredients right in the pantry. I would have given it 5 stars if it had a few pictures.

- Reviewed in the United States on November 12, 2012I first saw this cookbook at the library. Checked it out, brought it home and tried a few of the recipes. I decided I needed this book in my personal library. It's a great book.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 30, 2014I haven't actually made any of the recipes yet but I love to read cookbooks like novels. Many great looking recipes - I can hardly wait until my next potluck. This book gave me inspiration!
- Reviewed in the United States on January 1, 2012Amazon CustomerBeing single and wanting to participate in the church potlucks this has been an inspiration to me as a man who cannot boil water without burning the pan. I have never been one to survive on tv dinners and this book takes me out of my comfort zone to cook for myself until God brings the wife he chose for me.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 10, 2005Few items purchased nowadays live up to expectations. This is a delightful exception. The receipes are well done, simple, tasty, and there is plenty of variety. Want to minimize your time in the kitchen? Want quality eats? Get this book!
