One unforgettable encounter sends Colt McKinnon on a tireless search for a gorgeous siren—regardless of the consequences

From across a crowded nightclub, Colt McKinnon locks his eyes on Hannah Alexander. His fixed gaze, flush with confidence and ease, holds her steadily—and takes her breath away. At first, she dismisses him as a relentless flirt, but soon the two are together on the dance floor. After a magical kiss, though, Hannah walks away into the night before he can learn more about her. Calling out to after her, Colt receives no response—what he doesn’t know, however, is that Hannah is deaf and did not hear his cries. Determined to find the captivating woman who fills his every thought, Colt searches for the mysterious beauty—but will the truth about who she is and how she lives be more than he can handle? If not, his actions will have to speak far louder than his words. This ebook features an extended biography of Mary Kay McComas.

Mary Kay McComas was raised in the Great Pacific Northwest city of Spokane, Washington. Third of six children. Mary Kay went to college, and for ten years after that she worked as an intensive care nurse in a hospital.

Then she met her future husband, a lawyer, and her Prince Charming. The couple moved to the Shenandoah Valley in Northern Virginia, and raised four wonderful children.

After Mary Kay's children came along she didn't think things could get any better. But guess what, they did! On a dare from her husband to "write a better novel than that," Mary Kay took a stab at writing something longer than a letter and more fun than a college term paper.

It was not Mary Kay's intention to start a third career as a writer. However, as luck would have it, she was fortunate enough to find an encouraging agent and helpful, supportive editors. She hopes her stories will bring a little happiness into your life!

Top review from the United States

Reviewed in the United States on August 14, 1999
Being the Nascar nut I am, I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Hannah Alexander, who is deaf, is a professional photographer. Colt McKinnon is a race car owner and his brother, Trevor drives the car. Willie, Hannah's next door neighbor is Hannah's assistant and interpreter. Colt hires Hannah to do a brochure about their racing business. As they are falling in love, so are the constantly bickering Willie and Trevor. Mary Kay fills the story with exciting sights and sounds of being on the Nascar circuit. The story concentrates on Colt and Hannah's love affair, but as a sideline, Mary Kay teases the reader with Trevor and Willie's relationship. Readers will be satisified with the conclusion of Hannah and Colt's story, but will be craving for more on Willie and Trevor. That relationship needs a story of it's own.
