Midnight Faith Kindle Edition
Before long, Clint found himself involved in Cait’s cockeyed idea himselfand in over his head. Because despite his growing feelings for the stubborn beauty, he knew the ranch was all he’d ever needed and all he ever would. Unless a tough-as-nails-but-soft-underneath riding instructor could teach him there was more in store for him .

- Reviewed in the United States on July 3, 2012This book was okay. It had a few entertaining spots. Though it was pretty awful of Clint to do such a thing, the "kidnapping" scene was funny...
I couldn't see them as a couple. They acted like arch enemies at the beginning, yet they felt "strong feelings" for the other person. At one point, Clint wanted to kiss Cait; and I was really uncomfortable about it, since they both still pretty much antagonized each other. It just didn't feel right. The ending was pretty boring and unnecessary as well. There never was a clear understanding on rather Cait's issues about her deceased husband were resolved or not. And what is up with this author? The first book, and now this book, she has the woman feeling she loved her current man a lot more than her deceased husband. That's another thing that bothered me. And again, the romance was allowed to develop into marriage way too fast...
- Reviewed in the United States on February 26, 2009This book is loaded with emotion ... you can feel Clint's pain at truly feeling like Cait is responsible for his brother's death and at the same time he starts to care for her without wanting to ...The book draws you in and you feel his pain, at the same time you have to admire Cait and how hard she tries and cares. She is not as tough as she appears on the outside. This is a book that no matter your age I believe you will enjoy reading it.
Gena Dalton is a excellent author this second book in the McMahan Series and is every bit as good if not better than the first book in my opinion.
- Reviewed in the United States on March 16, 2009Aside from the ick factor of the two protagonists being related by marriage (Caitlyn is the widow of Clint's brother), the book doesn't offer much in the way of character development. The author makes a point of slowing down and smelling the roses as Cait tries to get Clint to realize there's a world beyond his beloved ranch--but the sermonizing gets in the way. Cait comes across as unsympathetic at first, but you're eventually won over by her resilient attitude.
