Haven Creek (A Cavanaugh Island Novel Book 3) Kindle Edition
Home is where the heart is.
Architect Morgan Dane has always lived according to a plan, crossing off her achievements one by one. But when she's offered her dream job--the restoration of historic Angels Landing Plantation on beautiful Cavanaugh Island--Morgan's life takes an unexpected turn.
Carpenter Nathaniel Shaw once took a big chance on commitment--and lost. Needing the healing comforts of home, he returns to Haven Creek to join the family business. Nothing in the small town has changed-except for Morgan Dane. The wallflower he knew in high school has grown into a beautiful woman . . . and stirs feelings Nate isn't sure he's ready for.
Together Nate and Morgan find a happiness neither could have predicted. But when secrets from the past come to light, their budding relationship is threatened. Will they play it safe, or risk their hearts to build a life together?

- Reviewed in the United States on July 8, 2013First let me say to readers . Make sure you read the books I order. They are different, but you will understand the story line. I love the plot of this store line with Morgan and Nathan. We all have had someone to hurt us however, we have to leave it in the past in order to move on. Now for dislike, didn't like how the store just went to the end of the store to the church. All in all good read

- Reviewed in the United States on January 19, 2021I have enjoyed this author's style since reading, "A Younger Man". I like the connection and association of the books in each series. There is always a lesson to be learned in each book. Living in the past sometimes is good but , learning from and moving forward is paramount. One's life plans need a yearly update to keep current.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 12, 2016Morgan and Nate were affected deeply by events in their past. They handled their baggage differently but the baggage still drug them down. Would they learn to let go of the past and move forward before they loss a chance to enjoy real happiness? How can they move forward? These are the questions answered here. I love Alers books.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 9, 2020I would have given this book four stars, but I really did not like the hero. He moved fast in some areas, but put the breaks on in others. I just could't get into him. On the other hand, loved Morgan.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 14, 2020This mature love story is one to pass along to others. I would highly recommend this book and series to others.
