These books are written in a way that make them perfect for reading in the "Throne Room". Sections that can be as short as a single page, allow for "quick" and easy reads. Uncle John's Bathroom Readers, give you little known facts, and details about a wide variety of subjects.

This one focuses on Crimes, Criminals and Police. You'll get to read about how dumb some criminals were; How lost the police were in investigating some crimes; and some of the stupid laws that are still on the books....Around The World!

I highly recommend this book to anyone who gets board, while doing your "duty'!

I have a 13 year old boys and, true to its intended purpose, my son reads this thing in the bathroom. He loves it! Comes out spouting all kinds of fun and interesting facts and stories. He is a hoot! Comes up with stuff at the darnedest times. But he actually learns a lot from the book as well. Anything that is clean and can get a 13 year old boy to read must be a good thing!!

This one like all Uncle John's was funny reading. I mean sometimes you have to wonder if some people are just dumber than others as seen in this book and then sometimes you have to give people little respect for their use of human greed to get what they want. Now I am not saying that any of these characters are worthy of praise for their lifes of crime, but some of them could work the system. Although this book is not the monster volumes of other Uncle John's readers it was entertaining still. If you have read other Uncle John's then you will want to read this one. If you have never read one then this would be a good start.

I liked what I seen with the sneak peaks I got here online, but I gave this as a gift and can only hope my brother-in-law is enjoying it. I live in another state and we don't speak often. My sister did say he liked it, so I guess that's my answer. He is on the police force so I thought this he might be interested in this one. I know some of what I have read in Uncle John's books are jokes or funny facts.

I was attracted to the Bathroom Reader series by the two Christmas editions, which I plumbed at holiday time (in my recliner, not on my throne) and hugely enjoyed. Since I am a mystery buff, I figured that the True Crime installment would be a natural. And somehow, it isn't. Of course, any Bathroom Reader fulfills a specific design: It is intended as a diversion while answering a very important call. The content loaded in each book feels substantial, but it squeaks out in little clumps--the longest of them is not even short story length--so that the book can easily be put aside once the call is complete. The True Crime edition does not progress as smoothly as does the Christmas series. True Crime cramps a great deal of text onto each page. The effort to get through a single vignette feels as if it takes more work than the endeavor should require. Sometimes the strain is satisfying, but more frequently, I just want to wipe the slate clean and roll on. I thought I would enjoy the True Crime edition more than I did, but I found it clogged. The Christmas editions were more charmin.
