Cinnamon Roll Murder (Hannah Swensen series Book 15) Kindle Edition
April is a busy time for Hannah Swensen and her bakery; the warm weather makes folks in Lake Eden, Minnesota, go wild for something sweet. When Hannah hears that the Cinnamon Roll Six jazz band will be playing at the town’s Weekend Jazz Festival, she’s more than happy to bake up a generous supply of their namesake confections to welcome the band to town.
Before the festival even begins, tragedy strikes when the tour bus overturns. Among those injured is Buddy Neiman, the band’s beloved keyboard player. Buddy’s injuries appear minor, until his condition suddenly takes a turn for the worse—as in dead. Hannah’s no doctor, but she suspects that the surgical scissors someone plunged into Buddy’s chest may have something to do with it. Hannah isn’t sure just how she’ll unravel the mystery, but one thing’s for sure: nothing’s sweeter than bringing a killer to justice . . .

the recipes which fit the situation!
The book opened up nice enough with a little intrigue in just a few pages. The mystery part was not bad, even though for most of the book I anticipated a different killer. The characters aren't bad either- they are a nice sounding group of people and definitely a "cozy". What bothers me the most of this series is that some parts Joanne Fluke just keeps rinsing/repeating. Ex. We all know Andrea can't cook. She's the fashionable, perfectly put together one. So when Hannah made a note about 'whole eggs" in her recipe and said "Andrea would have to be told to crack the eggs and then use them" (I'm paraphrasing), that bothered me a little because seriously even if you're not a "baker" this still seemed to be a common-sense thing. Of course, in the next chapter, Andrea lets us know that this did happen to her 1 time, but still.
The men. Hannah keeps dating them, but no progress with either really. Mike drops in at all hours for food and Norman can be wimpy. Hannah's own mother is making far more headway in her romantic life with Doc, than Hannah is with either man.
The books are still ok, they are semi-entertaining, and are similar to an old sweatshirt that has seen a better day- you know you should get rid of it, but it makes you feel comfortable, so you keep it.If you're looking for something light and fluffy- you've found the right series.
***Likes****
1. Hannah's mother finding the body, therefore showing Joanne Fluke can break her mold for these books.
****Dislikes***
1. The bus driver- never really resolved- murder/accident.

Ok "spoiler alert" Norman finally grows a backbone in the last 2 pages and Hannah has a go at not being a doormat for everyone but I still think the murder is more of a background scenery to Hannah's relationship with Norman, Mike and Dr. Bev than a main storyline.
Also I really don't like the shoddy editing these books have been given, few and often no paragraph breaks causing me to go back and re-read sentences because the story jumps from one conversation to a completely different one or later time is bad enough add to that the over indulgence of 4 page recipes peppered with notes that feels like the book has been padded either by an editor or the author herself is causing me to feel insulted for buying such a substandard puffed out story.
On the up side what there is of a murder story is interesting if not particularly fleshed out and has soooo many coincidences and of course the murderer realises Hannah has figured out he did at the same time she actually does figure it out and goes after her. Really again?! Can't the author use any other ending?
Whoops. I really meant to say it's an ok book, not so bad if you don't have anything better and don't mind that the author keeps writing using the same basic recipe.
