A sheltered noblewoman unwittingly falls in love with a notorious spy in this Regency romance from a USA Today–bestselling author.
It happens in an instant. One minute, Charlotte Tarrant is traveling across Cornwall in her luxurious coach. The next, shots ring out and her carriage goes over a cliff’s edge. As she clings to the rocks, a savior appears. When they meet again, Charley recognizes him instantly. But she doesn’t yet realize that the stranger who saved her life—the handsome aristocrat who now vies for her hand in marriage—is England’s most notorious spy. He is called Fox Cub. Few know that behind the daring exploits of the elusive
Le Renardeau, Antony St. John Foxearth is on a quest to prevent a political assassination that could topple the Crown. As desire flames into enduring passion, Antony undertakes his most critical mission yet: to safeguard the woman he loves from harm, and from himself.

“Amanda Scott has an uncanny knack of picking up her readers and plunking them down right in the middle of her storyworld.” —Romance Reviews Today

I really enjoyed reading this book. I enjoyed the characters and plot. I really like the fact that the same characters appear in each book in the series. You get to know them better.

Yup. The story moves well and, though the romance is predictable, much of the rest of the story is not predictable. Fun entertainment.

OK, three books down and 1 to go. I can't believe these are from the mid-nineties and I just now find them. Once again the ok interesting characters are finely drawn, some have a big role in this book others not. I'm so excited to start the final entry to this four book set.

This author represents the women who could think and actually help their husbands in a time when the majority of the populace thought them inferior to men. Ms. Scott brings out the best in her characters, even the monkey, which is a clever twist to a good story.

Both Antony and Charlie made their lives more difficult through ideas they had that society was wrong about. They both thought they could not find true love but for entirely different reasons.

I like the dangerous series and have read all of them. Dangerous Angels is quite interesting with her characters in several dangerous spots. I like the time frame in the 1800's with the weathy people in England.

Rather an unpleasant female with notions that might be laudable in our time but unlikely in hers. Her reaction to the deaths of parents and grandfather was also not likely, and made her a character difficult to relate to. The hero was OK. Just another love story with a bow made to history but not a period piece. She would have been a lot more believable had she used her self proclaimed superiority over the male species by using the tools in a smart woman's arsenal rather than beating the men over the head with her "rights". They don't always get it, as she saw time and again. Forgive what seems to have turned into a rant.
