The Master of Stonegrave Hall Kindle Edition
An arrogant English lord and an innocent young woman have a battle of wills on the Yorkshire moors in this Regency romance.
Few defy Lord Rockford and come away unscathed
Victoria Lewis has grown up in the long, dark shadows cast by Stonegrave Hall. Yet when the master takes her sick mother into his care, she must finally confront the man whose presence is as brooding as his windswept Yorkshire lands.
Men quake at Lord Rockford’s mere command, yet this slip of a girl defies him at every turn! His fury at her is matched only by his desire, and Victoria’s pure innocence burns brightly in the darkness of the hall. But the light threatens to lay bare secrets that could ruin them both.

- Reviewed in the United States on October 28, 2013This was a wonderful read full of love, laughter, heartache and betrayal. It was well written and kept me interested from the first page till the last. The only reason I didn't give this rating a five star was that I found the age of the heroine was too young for the maturity she showed. I understand the need considering the storyline but felt it would have made more sense for her to be several years older. Still all and all it was a great book and look forward to rereading again one day.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 13, 2013I didn't feel a connection between the H and h and as a result it was difficult to finish this book. I kept at it thinking there would be a spark sooner or later, but no such luck. It took me days to finish the book and I usually read a book in one day. I really don't recommend you spend your money here, the book should be free and still wouldn't be a bargain!
- Reviewed in the United States on August 16, 2015One of the best romances I have read in a long time. Wonderful love story. Enchanting hero and strong heroine.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 4, 2013Wht a sweet and loving story. Great chemistry. Fun and flirty. Really enjoyed. Never expected it to be so good.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 6, 2014Couldn't get into the story. Too much the same as others.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 24, 2014Too short, needed to know more about the characters. Male character was not believable. He took too long to make up his mind about the heroine after she proclaimed her deep love for him and that his scars did not matter to her.

2.0 out of 5 stars arrogant hero
The hero is one of the most arrogant and selfish persons I've ever met in a romantic novel, therefore there's not really much romance left and one continually thinks: "Why is the heroine still in love with him?" Laurence Rockford (30, aristocrat) "falls in love" with Victoria (18, commoner) behaves continually egotistical, misbehaves, only ever thinks about what he wants and forces others to do as he wants - especially Victoria -
And when they have a quarrel and Victoria stands up to him , she's always the one who apologies afterwards, though it was definitely his fault because he exercised his dominance...
At the end there is no real reason why the reader should trust Laurence to have suddenly changed...

3.0 out of 5 stars Enjoyable
It kept me interested but I wished there had been a bit more exploration into how the character's felt regarding the events. I thought the sentiments were correct but the depth of feeling was lacking, hence 3 stars.
