Hello,

I am Chris Ward, one of two authors featured on Amazon to share that regal name. I was born in 1948 but retain the body of a 30 year old, which I steadfastly refuse to give back. I am not to be confused, but sadly often am by Amazon, with the more youthful and handsome sharer of my name, who, I understand, is a native of Cornwall and is a short story writer, who currently lives in Japan. I worked for many years for Penguin Books, but now enjoy my retirement in the wonderful, but much insulted seaside resort of Skegness, on Lincolnshire's Riviera coast, where I am in easy reach of The Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage centre. I am known for my series of wartime histories of RAF Bomber Command squadrons, which currently number 23, but am, perhaps, best known for my many works on 617 Squadron (Dambusters). My first book, Dambusters. The Definitive History, published by Red Kite in 2003 has been catalogued by the Imperial War Museum as a book of national interest. I have recently published my first work of fiction, Time Link, a rollercoaster of a novel (a phrase stolen from Blackadder), which draws on my extensive knowledge of WWII Bomber Command and my belief in reincarnation. I continue to suffer as a lifelong fan of the constantly under-achieving Aston Villa Football Club, (66 years so far), but at least I share my frustrations with our future King, Prince William.

Thanks for taking the trouble to read this, and, more importantly, for buying my books.

Bye for now,

Chris Ward. (The older and less handsome one).

5.0 out of 5 stars Eccellente serie

What else ?

Great selection of never seen before photos , always a bonus when most books seem to just use the same pics over and over again.
