Clout: Discover and Unleash Your God-Given Influence Kindle Edition

4.6 4.6 out of 5 stars 162 ratings

You have clout. Have you discovered it yet?

It is easy to believe that power, influence, and leadership are gifts given to a special few. But the Bible says otherwise.

We all long for significance, even as we fear we will never be good enough. We listen for God, but hear only voices of doubt and practicality. Listen again. There is a call that only you can answer.

Clout is power and influence. It is an undeniable trait that opens doors and moves mountains. You have it, and you can use it to change the world around you. With Scripture and stories from her own life, Jenni Catron maps out the pitfalls and clear paths on the way toward discovering and unleashing your very own clout.

This is not a quest of power for power’s sake. Influence is not a guarantee of fame or fortune. It is an opportunity to use your gifts to do the extraordinary. This is a journey toward dismantling what stands in the way of your influence and leadership, discovering your God-given clout, and using it to answer God’s calling on your life.

Learn about Jesus and others who sought to lead like him. Stop dreaming and start planning. Define your direction, set your goals, and confront the challenges that stand between you and the person God made you to be. Step into your sphere of influence with the humble confidence of Christ.

Don’t hide. We need you. Discover your clout here.

All of us have a desire to live a life of significance and purpose but often times we allow certain barriers to prevent us from fully unleashing who God has made us to be and our ability to impact those around us. If you are a leader and struggling with fear, doubt, and/or comparison Jenni does a great job of taking Biblical truths and turning them into practical tools that can help everyone become a better leader in any area of life. Reading this book felt like someone knew my internal battles and exactly what I needed to hear to overcome them. Thank you Jenni for writing this book and helping me grow!

What a wonderful exploration of our individual potential through God. Just finished a study on Joseph and this book further augmented my exploration of his life and my own. It brought to light even more of the amazing potential that we each have within us if we would only break down our own 'clout killers' and focus on our own individuality that God blessed us with. Catron allows herself to become vulnerable throughout the book in a spirit led way to nurture the readers journey in discovering their own individual God given influence. Engaging and simply written profound message for each of us.

I really liked the way this book was organized. The chapters are thought provoking and left me wondering a bit about my current situations. The chapters ended with some very helpful exercises that led me to action. Many leadership books help me get down a path, but then leave me wondering where to go next. Jenni did a great job of bringing me down the path and offering insight as to where to go next. The balance between inspiration and action was great.

Mrs. Catron does an excellent job at tying clout, faith, and leadership together in a faith based manner that truly makes sense. Reading this book leads to introspection and life choice review which I believe is a good thing. Well worth the read.

Jenni does an incredible job of bringing to light the struggles of leaders to find their full potential in their God-given placement. Her ability to honestly and opening share from her own journey to finding "Clout" allows the reader the space needed to begin their own personal discovery.

All I can say is "THANK YOU, JENNI" --- your words will impact thousands as leaders grasp this for themselves and begin to lead from a place of confidence in who God created them to be.

An honest, but gentle, guide to discovering what is killing your clout, followed by a guide to discover, embrace and live out your clout as you pursue your God-given work. Thank you, Jenni Catron!

I downloaded because it was on sale for $2.99 on kindle. I read 80% of the book in one sitting... Jenni Catron put into eloquent words what I may have already known and felt... And helped me re-examine my heart and intentions further. It's difficult to deal with my weaknesses that robs me of living out who God made me to be... But it's an amazing process to discover my clout! Definitely recommend!

I was recommended this book by a friend when I shared about my current identity crisis. This book has been essential as I look at what caused my foundation to be shaken and how to rebuild I on what God says is true of me. I'm nowhere near the end of my journey, but the truth in this book is helping me take action in that direction!

A warm, engaging, practical, and honest assessment of things that help and hinder a leader. Should be required reading for anyone who may be thinking of stepping into the leadership arena.
