This book is complete with step by step instruction to give you and any guests a wonderful dinning experience. Originally I thought it was a Vegan cook book because that was what I was looking for but when it arrived today I was a bit disappointed. I do have a friend that would appreciate this cook book. I watched Claire Thomas in a video where she prepared a vegan dish it looked great and my search began. Which lead me to this book and I purchased to quickly and made a mistake and it was my mistake not amazon's.

I love it! Just got it today, and I can't stop looking at it. It's beautiful, well explained, and most importantly everything looks delicious. I'm a vegetarian, so not everything is for me, but I'm pretty good at replacing meat with other ingredients. This book is pretty stocked with recipes I can eat though. It's a good book to start with because it explains basics, Claire is a great teacher. I'm a beginner at cooking, and I'm ready to start taking it to the next level by exploring more flavors, which is why this book is perfect for me. Overall it's a very well rounded book filled with recipes that cater to a lot of different tastes. So happy I bought it!

I have follows Claire Thomas for years and finally decided to pick up her book. So far, I'm enjoying it very much, but I have one issue that bugs ms - and it isn't just in this book. The color of the type face may be black, but it comes across as grey and is Very Hard To Read. It looks great, but it makes using the book a pain.

I decided to buy this when buying the sweet Laurel cookbook as well instead of solely relying on the kitchy kitchen website. very happy with this book, I have loved Claire for years. I'll admit that some of the side notes are a bit pretentious for the everyday housewife, but the book definitely provides the tools to punch it up a notch when entertaining. A worthy buy indeed.

Recently I discovered Ms. Thomas former TV show "Food for Thought" and I have become a big fan of hers. (....and I'm no spring chicken!) She has an enthusiastic and fresh take on cooking. The recipes are clearly detailed and thoroughly thought out. Nothing too complicated, but big on flavor! I'm thoroughly enjoying this book!

I was looking for a particular recipe, it's not in this book. She has a recipe for Mom's Pavlova cake - she talks about filling "just before serving because the whipping cream will dissolve the meringue over time". Guess it is known to cooks someplace - I don't see anything about whipped cream - always seems to be missing part of the recipe and an incomplete recipe (if you don't already know the last part or ingredients) is not worth having. The pictures are awesome and quality of this book is very nice - but did not live up to my expectations.

This book is amazing. There are tons of recipes and there's a little of everything in it. Cocktail, dessert, and appetizer recipes are just a sampling of what is in here. Claire uses simple ingredients that are easy to obtain and her directions are clear and concise. I'm partial to her pizza and cocktail recipes. Such a great book!

I love it! I enjoy watching her show, even though they are reruns. I really like how she opens with how to organize your pantry and kitchen combinations. It's really easy to follow her recipes and I really appreciate the Entertaining In A Snap section. I definitely will reorder for gifts.
